Hi, it's either the start device on the compressor or you have a bad compressor. You'll have to pull it away from the wall and take the bottom back panel off to check the compressor. It will likely be real hot to the touch from what you described happening. If there is a little white colored box on the left side take that off and remove the wires, etc. and shake it... if it rattles and debris falls out then that's the problem. It's fairly common and they make a kit to replace it with a better designed part that's real easy to install yourself. If your compressor has a label on it with a blue indian head symbol, then you're out of luck as that brand pretty much sucks and is destroyed by heat. It would mean a new compressor and then you'd be lucky if the new one even worked from the factory. Avoid those Tecumseh compressors at all cost.

Take care

Hello,

Check for coil problems. The compressor can overheat due to dust buildup on condenser coils. If so, vacuum the coils. If there's ice buildup on evaporator coils due to bad defrost heater, replace the defrost heater, If there's a squealing sound inside the refrigerator, it's like a failing evaporator-coil fan, you will need to check the evaporator fan to see if there is nothing blocking it, because atimes ice are formed on it, if so, melt it.

Take care.

What you can do is take off the bottom kick plate at the front and check the coils to see if there dirty. If they are clean them You should also feel warm air coming from the front of the fridge. If you don't then the fan motor by the compressor is not going. And once the kick plate is off you might see casters under the front . So you can pull out the fridge to look at the compressor for the clicking. Is it warm air coming from the front. If not then the compressor is not going and thats where the clicking is coming from.If thats the case the relay on the compressor could be burnt. If the coils at the front were dirty and you just now cleaned them I would turn off the fridge and let the compressor cool down and try it again in a few hrs.

LG LMVM 1935SB doesn't heat.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount (which are pretty simple problems to fix) or occasionally a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.

Door switch or mount trouble is usually caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

positivelock.jpg
If the switch mount is broken, it's usually more economical and safer to add a dab or two of hot glue to the mount to secure the switch. Let it cool for about 30 minutes before using.

One test that sometimes helps is to gently lift up (and/or push down) on the door or handle as you try to start it. If it works or tries to work, then it's a door switch mount or door alignment issue.

See this file for more help on door switches.

Spacemaker XL1800 turntable turns sometimes

I would say an internal post broke inside the motor. This often happens when a heavy item is placed on the tray.

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

Microwave stopped working

to indutolia

The original problem was probably a bad turntable motor, which is pretty easy to replace.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Now I'd say you have a bad door switch (whether upper or lower depends on the model number) or a problem with the door switch mount.

This is a pretty simple problem to fix, too: http://www.microwavedisplay.com/doorsw.txt

Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

Doesn't work

Sounds like your magnetron has failed and was going bad for some time.

I would contact Bosch to find their nearest authorized servicer.

If it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

If it's within the magnetron portion of the warranty (usually 5-9 years) but out of the original full warranty (usually 1 year), then your manufacturer will cover the part cost, but not the cost to visit you or the labor charge to do the work.
