You will need to open your camera very carefully.
Buy a 25W soldering iron and practice some soldering on any other board if you have one before you try it on the actual camera.
You should also should buy a de-soldering pump at radio shack.
When you try to remove the connector, be carefull not to apply any pressure with the soldering iron because you might damage the conductor.
I would suggest to google for some more info on how to solder, just to have a better idea about it.

Hey snight

you can just use a small pick or tweezer to take of the broken connector. it wont do much now because its broken.

what you can do is that you can bring that camera to a place where they sell camera accesories and tell them that your looking fore an exact replacement for your jvc.

even if its not for your everio or an exact model. it will still be compatible if you try to use it. if the part is a y composite out connector, you shouldnt have much problem with looking to replace that.

How do i download my pictures from my handycam trv49e so that my tapes can be reused

Search Google and found this:
The Sony CCD-TRV49 camcorder doesn't have a digital output, so you have to capture and convert the analog composite video signal and audio signals. On the PC side you need an analog video capture board, a sound card to capture the audio and a video capture/editing software. You can also find on the market external USB devices that contains all these things.

The composite video is the yellow RCA connector that goes straight to your capture board.
The left audio is the white RCA connector and the right audio is the red RCA connector. These are mixed on a stereo jack plug that enters into soundcard input socket.

How do i hook up jvc grd320 camcorder to play direct thriuh overhead projector?

Depends on what connectors are available on the overhead.
It should have RCA connectors Yellow for video and red and white for audio. These will work OK.
The camera may have a small socket marked A/V out which requires a proprietary cable like a 3.5 mm headphone jack (three rings, video and stereo) on one end and RCAs on the other.

You should select the Easy Setup preset that matches the cameras output before capturing.
You may need to start a new project for the Easy Setup to take effect.

HOW DO YOU CONNECT TO THE TV

You look for the video and audio outputs available from your camera, the standard analog type are video composite (yellow RCA connector) and audio L channel (white RCA connector), R channel (red RCA connector), if the audio output is mono, you should have a black RCA connector, the you should look the corresponding inputs at your TV set and select them. If you have a digital output, usually a firewire connection, you should look for the cable and corresponding input at your TV set.

What do i need to play back recorded video onto my t.v from my sony handycam dcr-trv260...i have s cord, usb cord, yellow rca jack??? so what else do i need!!!...nothing i have tried has worked???please...

You can connect this camera to a suitable TV with either the S-Video lead or the RCA lead, but only if the TV is equipped with the appropriate inputs. The S-Video lead looks like a tiny DIN plug, and the RCA jacks are three separate plugs coloured red, white and yellow (yellow is composite video, red and white are left and right stereo sound). If you use S-Video you will also need to make a separate connection for sound (using the red and white RCA connectors). Sometimes the TV sound input is a mini stereo jack, and you will need a Y connector to adapt the two RCA connectors to the mini jack, or maybe the camera's sound output is also by mini jack, in which case you may need the reverse Y connector. Most TVs have some way of accepting a video signal, but you may already be using it for a DVD player or the like.

If your TV lacks these connections, you may be able to use an adapter. In the UK, most recent TVs have a SCART (Peritel) socket, which takes a big plug with 21 connections on it. You can get an adapter to fit that socket that will allow you to plug in the RCA connectors and maybe the S-video too. I don't know what country you are in, or what adapters are available in your country if it isn't the UK.

Once you have made the connections, you must select the appropriate input on your TV. The other possible hiccup is setting the camera to the right video standard, NTSC or PAL., to match that used by your TV.

The USB cord will not connect your camera to the TV.

JVC GY-HD 110

I have had a problem with this. The first time I was setting up the camera I too couldn't get the computer to detect the camera. The computer will detect it before any program can begin to use it. I was using the pinnacle moviebox. I find that I have to use the cord only one way out of the camera and use the same end connected to the camera everytime and the other end into the moviebox or hardline into your computer. Believe it or not, i have to press the end into the moviebox good and snug otherwise it will not detect it. I also use a filter on the cable to stop any potential interference and a good indicator next time which end belongs in the camera and which one back in the computer. Since I have done this, I haven't had any trouble.
I connect the camera via IEEE 1394 with a cable with gold connections (10 bucks at target), into the pinnacle moviebox and then backout to the computer with USB into USB 2.0 port on my pc. My PC is running XP Media Center.
