First, make sure your printer is powered up and connected to your Windows computer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Next, try updating the printer driver on your computer. Printer problems sometimes stem from out-of-date driver software, and can be solved by installing, or reinstalling, the latest driver.
To find the latest driver for your printer, first check Windows Update, which is designed to detect the hardware connected to your computer and automatically notify you when new drivers are available:
Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update.
In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
If any updates are found, click Install updates. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
If you don't see an updated printer driver listed, it's still possible that one exists: Your printer manufacturer may not have provided it to Microsoft yet.
Most printer manufacturers offer up-to-date drivers on the support sections of their websites. Drivers are typically organized by Windows edition and printer model. Once you find the proper driver, download and install it according to the manufacturer's instructions. For more help, see Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly.
Or if you are getting any error message, reply with the exact error message.

What error message do you get when printing? What is your operating system?

How do I make copies

What do you mean by copies? Like printing 1 page in more than 1 copy?

In the Print dialog box (when you click the File => Print command), You can increase the number of copies to be printed in just one printing.

If your printer is multi-function (one printer that can scan, copy, and print), just place the document to be copied (photocopy) in the scanner tray, cover it and then PRESS the OK. In some models, it is MONO or COLOR under START button group.

Unable to cop

You can not use the copy feature if your printer is "printing". You can scan while other is printing simply because scanning is not using the printer's print heads. Therefore if you are printing, you can not copy at the same time.

Is your printer printing OK? So you should be able to copy as well. Press COPY button when the printer is ready. Basically, you have the Copy (Black) and Copy Color options. If you have 1 option only, pressing COPY makes you choose black or COlor using the keypad selector. Just choose any option and press OK or START.

Instead of pressing the start button to print, you need to press the small ON/OFF button. The start button works to copy/scan. But to print, you will need to turn the printer on first. Once the printer is on, the computer should recognize it fine and allow you to print from your applications.

Prints photos with yellow horizontal stripes.Hv downloaded HP printing diagnostic utility and no errors were reported. If just using scanner to copy photos, prints fine but copying photos in library p

go into the printer and do a test print. start>printer & faxes>right click on the printer in question>properties>printer preference button> test print ... try the printer's own test print. This is usually caused by a poor print head, low ink, poor cartridge or the need for calibration. Look in the maintenance tab in the printer properties for head cleaner, jet cleaner etc. This also happens with refill ink cartridges.

My hp 1320 prints multiple copies instead of one copy

Go to "printers and faxes."
Right click on your printer and select "Printing preferences."
Select "Advanced" tab
Double click "paper output"
If "Copy count=2" then change to 1 and apply
IF IT ALREADY IS SET TO 1 THEN:
Set "copy count=2" then APPLY
Repeat the above and now set "copy count=1"

The process of setting and resetting the copy count fixed my issues.

My hp 1320 prints only one copy

Windows may have eaten its baby again- that is, the driver for that printer.
Open the Control Panel, then Printers and Faxes, delete any listing for that model of printer, make sure the printer is on and connected, then reboot your system. This will force Win to 'find' the printer and install an uncorrupted driver for it.
