There is no single magic bullet here. Since this is a new trim, I have to assume it is a new valve as well. If the head drips for a long time well after the valve has been shut off, my first impulse is to think thie installation is with older galvanized plumbing as the water supply source and that some particulate was knocked loose during the process of installation. There are no O-rings that can be replaced that will remedie the problem in any case.

Since your problem seems to be on a newly installed valve, if particulate is your problem the replacement cost will be on you, otherwise it could be a warranty issue. 99.9% of the time it is not the product but the quality of water that runs through it. It is a reflex to blame the product.

Having said that, there are more questions than this forum allows to narrow down the possibilities. Be advised that if it were my valve I would have no reservations about replacing both the cartridge and pressure balancing cartridge since they work together and sold separately, While mass produced items do have failures, when it comes to plumbing, as i said, it is usually what is in the water that causes the problems.

SOURCE: dripping shower head

If it is dripping from the connection where it goes to the water spout you can unscrew the connection and wrap teflon tape or Pipe Joint Compound on the Threads. Now you can Thread the Shower Head Back on, with No Leak. IF..... It is leaking from the Shower Head Itself There May Be a Problem with the diverter handle/lever. If it has a Pull Type Lever, sometimes you can screw the Lever up or down for the proper water restriction to the Shower Head. However if the Hot and Cold Handle/Lever is OFF, There should not be any Water coming out from anywhere! If water is coming out off the Tub Spout, with the Shower Off, then you will have to replace some washers or Cartridges in the faucet(s) to stop the dripping. You can do this easily....Just Ask) Remember though, that some shower Heads may Drip for a Few Minutes After they are Turned off. There is still water in the Supply neck and needs to escape, either though the tub Spout or Shower Head.......Hope this Solution Helps you with your Drips.....Joe

You need to pull and replace the cartridge on your shower valve most likely. It varies by Make and Model, but generally, remove the handle, remove any sleeve around the center spine, remove the round trim plate, close the service stops, remove the retaining clip or ring, and pull the cartridge straight out of the valve body by pulling on the spline... or get a cartridge puller. Then take your cartridge to the store and get a new one. Flush the valve body by slightly opening both service stops and then install the new cartridge and reverse the process.
Generally this problem occurs when sediment has torn part of the sealing o ring on the cartridge. If you send me the make/model and/or a picture I will give you the specific instructions

varies by model, but generally, remove the cap on the knob, unscrew the knob, remove the keyed sleeve, remove the round trim plate & shut off the service stops (verify they are fully closed by pulling out on the valve stem) next remove the retaining clip (needle nose and be gentle) that holds the cartridge in place, then pull the cartridge straight out with vice grips or similar (or get a puller). clean the cartridge, flush out the valve body by slightly opening both service stops, reinstall cartridge and clip, open service stops and see if it still leaks. if it does, take your cartridge to the store (any reasonable HW or plumbing store should have a replacement) and get a new one. then reverse the process to reinstall.
If you send me the model I'll get you more specific instrucitons and pictures...

My steam shower is dripping water when it is turned off... all water is turned off.. please contact me since my water is dripping and is costing me money! the drip is where the steam comes out.. my number...

You have to turn main water off to house, then in side shower head is a gasket / otherwise known as a 0-ring, that needs replacing. Yes, a 50 cent part is causing this. If you don't know how to replace shower head 0-ring, just take shower head to any home depot, they will put it inn for you. Just make sure you turn main water line to house off, otherwise real leak. Let me know if helps. Thanks mike

The part # you supplied is for a shower door and has no bearing to your question. There is no relationship. However, I can say there is no adjustment for any two handle shower stem or even single handle stem. Very rarely will just replacing an "O" ring stop a drip unless it it from through the stem itself and comes out under the handle. When in doubt replace the whole stem...shortcuts will only exasperate the problem. There are no shortcuts in plumbing.

check the rubber gasket behind the head it might be worn out. if not then the valve might be bad and you might need to replace it.

Thank you for your query

If you just grab the showerhead with one hand and then unscrew anticlockwise the pipe underneath it should just screw off, once this has been done simply replace the O ring and rescrew
