Being a 22 inch monitor the problem is from another issue if it is fuzzy or so ..default the settings by choosing the auto on the monitor itself ..and after that go to the resolution setting either in the video card setting (of the driver in the task bar in the right on tray system ) or just right click on the desktop ..and than properties..and settings ..in here you should find the resolution ..and being such a large wide monitor you should use the maximum ..and will make the image clear..) also the other settings you will have it here in the advanced ..and monitor..
The settings can be done in advanced mode from the video driver ..just look in the tray system for the application named after the video card ..(Nvidia..Intell...gigabite..or what ever video card have ) and right click on it and choose settings ..or open ..and see what are the video settings possibilities ..

From the monitor itself you will not be able to set but the position ..luminiscence ..contrast ..and such ..the rest from the driver or windows settings like ai mentioned..

Hello,
Make sure you have your resolution set to 1680 x 1050 as this is the native supported screen size for this LCD. Also check your graphic card's overscan or manual adjustment settings. They might be manually set to offset the screen picture.
Hope this helps,
Chris

This is an issue with the Inverter or wire that sends the signal from the inverter to the screen. This is typically a non-service issues and results in a new monitor. May recommend you contact westing house and see if the screen is under warranty.

My westinghouse monitor won't align on the screen. i have tried auto adjust already and it is still missaligned.

Ok, with the Auto adjust, but have you actually tried the buttons that actually manually adjust the screen, size, placement, width, height etc, This will allow you complete control over all aspects of your monitor. You usually select, menu, then step through with one button, and change up, down, side to side, with the left & right buttons.

Out of focus 22"LCD Monitor

Since you have your reciept you should be able to get a refund repair or replacement from Best Buy.

If it's past the warrenty date then you could ring a repair shop and get a quote on the cost to fix but would probobly cost more than the monitor is worth

I have a Westinghouse LCM-22W2 LCD monitor. I believe my power board is bad. I want to either replace the power board or bad capcitors, if I can find them. I do not know how to take off the back cover,...

Have you gone through the user's guide? There are some sleep settings and automatic adjustments that this monitor makes, and other changes that users have inadvertently triggered that seem to be causing quite a bit of confusion these days. Make sure you haven't overlooked the Troubleshooting steps outlined there:
Troubleshooting
No Power
• Make sure the AC cord is plugged into the back of the LCD monitor.
• Make sure the AC power cord is securely connected to an AC outlet.
• Plug another electrical device (like a radio) to the power outlet to verify that the
outlet is supplying the proper voltage.
No Screen Image
• Make sure monitor is turned on.
• Make sure the video cable is securely connected to both the monitor and PC or
Audio/Video apparatus.
• Make sure you have selected the correct video input source
• Adjust the brightness and contrast levels.
“Out Of Range”
• Restart your computer and adjust your desktop resolution and refresh rate to 1680 x
1050 at 60 Hz.
Fuzzy Image
• Set desktop resolution on your PC to 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz.
• Adjust Phase/Sharpness setting on the monitor
Cannot find 1680 x 1050 under screen resolution on my Display Properties
• You may need to download and install the latest video card driver for your PC.
Listed below are websites for major video card manufacturers:
Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
Intel: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/support_intel.asp

Image Too Bright or Too Dark
• Adjust the brightness and contrast levels under the OSD menu.
• Make sure the video cable is securely connected to both the monitor and PC or
Audio/Video apparatus.
• Perform Auto Adjust.
Distorted Image
• Reset the LCD monitor by performing the “Reset” function using the OSD.
• Remove extra accessories (such as a VGA extension cord).
Image is Not Centered (size is not scaled correctly)
• Perform Auto Adjust
• Adjust the horizontal and/or vertical position using the OSD.
• Check image size setting.
You can see an online version here: http://www.westinghousedigital.com./pdf/60_User_Manual.pdf

I do not know how to remove the cover from that monitor. Here is a link to Westinghouse customer service technical support: http://www.westinghousedigital.com./contactus.aspx or
