Do you think the long warm up could be a bulging capacitor or do you think this is beyond DIY repair for me.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

How to fix my garage door opener?

I'm assuming you mean that it won't close, only open? If that's the case then your eye beams may need to be adjusted. The wall button can override the sensors whereas the remotes can not.

Remote control slow to respond to Bush tv (LT42M1CFA)

Even though your TV s remote control emits infrared light, it might have not sufficiant frequency as it supposed to be. The fault with its resonator crystal inside the circuit board need replacement. It will look like this. Replace it with exact frequency marked on it.8_16_2012_4_53_50_pm.jpg

The liftmaster works from the button on the wall of the garage, but it will not respond when we use the remotes. what could be causing it?

If the remotes have been working and have suddenly stopped, then it is likely the remote radio receiver is faulty. There are plenty of cheap universal garage door remote control kits on the market and the are very simple to fit, just connect to the garage door push button universal garage door remote control

System quit working green light on

depending on the year of your machine, assuming it is the serenity blue, it may be the circuit board on the unit itself. The manual switch "should" start the machine, but if not it will be the circuit board inside the main unit.

however....
if your unit is the green one, it may be the motor inside the unit and/or the circuit board. Hard to say. I do not think that it is the motor as the circuit breaker should have popped out if it was the motor.

Regardless of the colour of the unit, if it is 5-7 years old or less, the unit should still be under warranty. home service calls and labour to install the motor would not be covered.

Good luck.

Unable to switch on. Have checked safety switch and fuse on home circuit board - OK Power on outside unit on and OK Remote control has new batteries and display OK Cleaned remote sensor panels on both...

as per the problem which you mentioned it clearly indicates that problem is with the switch in the wall unit.but you mentioned that you checked the switch and it is OK.
this means that the problem is with the main circuit control board of the wall unit.on that board the component is got blow-ned out or any of the component is got loose.you will have to check out with meter .if it looks looks then component needs re soldering but if its faulty or blow-ned out then that component needs replacement.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

My craftsman garage door opener doesn,t work, after a power outage in the home? I don't know if the capacity is bad or the board circuit. Please help.

does it open with the wall controller? if so you may need to reprogram your remotes, look in the manual on how to do this. If not you may have got a surge that damaged the circuit board, I recommend a surge protector with your new unit.

Sears Craftsman Gar. door opener won't respond

There isn't a fuse. You are going to need to remove the cover on the opener and find out where you are losing the power. Maybe a neighbor has a volt meter you could use. I would check the power cord and then the logic board. Makes no sense but I would check for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuit board especially around that small transformer.
