Before buying anythings, you have too check the manual too see if you didn't put it in factory test mode by accident. the manual is suppose to be under the top,(two screws on the back)
After that, second thing you have too do, remove the back (six screws) the drain pump is located under the the baril. there is a black rubber tube attached to it. In this tube, there is a basket that keed hard thing away from the pump. In my case, some hair pin pass the basket and block the pump rotor. The computer of the machine told me it was Error E23 but after cleaning, everything work like new!!

So try cleaning it yourself, it is easy even with basic skill. You will need a star screwdriver, a scare-screw driver, pliers.

Remember, better have the machine empty before doing anything, because you'll be working on the DRAIN LINE.

Hope that help someone.

What does error code E23 on a frigidaire affinty front load washing machine mean

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you are receiving an E23 code on your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# GLTF2940ES. The E23 code states that the drain pump relay on the control board has failed. This could also be a possible false code. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at the circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Hello Juan, thank you for your post!

If you are getting an error code E23, it usually means one of three things: your drain pump relay has failed, a wire may be disconnected from the pump, or your main control board possibly needs replacing. One of the best ways to determine if this is a false error code is to reset the power to your Frigidaire washer by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about ten minutes. If the error code persists, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.

Best regards - Z.

When washer turns on there is a horrible buzzing sound, e 20 error message was on before

This is a blocked drain error code (E20) which can be due to a clogged/kinked drain hose, blocked drain filter/coin trap, or a broken drain pump. The link below provides the detailed troubleshooting procedure of this error code. In addition, replace the drain pump after having found no problem with the drain hose, cleaned the filter, and checked the drain pump impeller but the drain pump just hums, buzzes or whirs.

Water in the drum humming noise Code error e23 Kenmore washer

It sounds like your drain pump is blocked.

There should be a small door at the front of the machine. Open it and unscrew the coin trap (plunger) and see if there's anything stuck in there.

If not, then you will have to look under the machine and remove the drain pump manually to clear it.

Hope this helps!?
