Projection TV. DVD works. Cable often seems, "untuned". Static & un-fine-tuned sound of channel with black screen. Then, later, it will come on just fine. Sometimes, will go back to untuned status.

I would suspect your cable box first. I would unplug the power cable from your cable box and wait 60 seconds. Plug it back in and try to watch cable tv. I would also make sure the coaxial cable going from the wall to your cable box is connected properly. I would also make sure the cable going from the cable box to the tv is connected properly. Test your tv and see if it works correctly when you watch cable. If this fixes the issue you are good to go.
  • If this makes no difference use a set of new cables if you have them.
  • If this does not work then call your cable company. They may have to replace your cable box.

Hi, I have new Samsung LCD TV LE37S8. I'm trying to set a picture to a movie mode, but it keeps changing to a dynamic mode after 15 minutes. How can I save my settings? Is it possible that is something...

if it's still in warranty, call 1-800-samsung and report it, other wise you need a main board or there could be a firmware upgrade on samsung web site that could fix it

No audio in input-1 (where DirectTv is set up to)

Good Day, matt30;
So, the the sound was working in the input ONE mode? Try resetting the D-TV & TV, by unplugging both for about 3 to 5 minutes, then plug both back in. If no fix try input TWO.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Sound is just static

Don't understand why, perhaps rca contracted microsoft for their programming, but when I unplugged the TV and it rebooted, everything is fine. I still am concerned about the warning on the back.

Static or popping sound

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems, to activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source.
