Question about Motorola Mobility Droid (2 GB) Cell Phone
I'm not too familiar with the Droid but newer phones have a sensor that will turn the screen completely off when its put to your ear. Is there a specific reason you need to watch the screen? Somewhere in settings, under power or power management there should be backlight settings. I know the Droid experiences battery issues and under heavy use will discharge quickly, the backlight may turn off quickly to help preserve the battery.

Testimonial: "Thanks for your input, I am familiar with the reason the Moto Droid does this put I can't find a setting to fix it. It is an intermitting problem. I have taken the phone into the Verizon Store and it works with no problem while in the store. It is irritating because it can be an unexpected problem."
