Hi,
There is DM board in this Mitsubishi WS-55515 rear projection tv and its common problem of DM board that its electrolytic capacitors got leaky and causing that problem (green blinking light and tv does not turn on)
Replace capacitors of DM board and problem will be solved.
If you have no experience of parts replacement in tv circuit board then call local tv repairman to do that work for you.
Hope these info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The green LED on the front panel of the TV that normally blinks when turned on after a power failure or when unplugged: the green light is supposed to flash for about 1 minute while both microprocessors boot up: If it won't stop blinking it means that they aren't communicating with each other. This issue is due to 1000uF/16 volt power supply capacitors in the "DM module" (one of the two onboard microprocessors). These capacitors are apparently small as compared to load they get & due to this they will eventually fail (usually after about 3 years). Or else they fail when there are voltage fluctuations in the circuit above 16 volts. It is recommended to install either 1000uF/25 volt or 1000uF/35 volt capacitors as replacements, so that they will be more than ample to handle any voltage spikes that will occur. To do the repair you’ll need to take the back off the TV apart in order to remove the faulty DM module and need to desolder the old capacitors on DM board and install. Also check the grounding straps which are essential to the proper functioning of the DM module. All this is only recommended to be done by someone who has electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Sanyo dp42849 completely black screen, green light blinks every minute.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy.

My webcam doesn't work. The green light shows up next to it, but when I come to view through the camera all I can see is a black screen. It literally doesn't show anything, even lights.

Hi cazjenks...
Try this solution to your problem

Follow the instructions below to use your webcam
Click on Start then >Control panel>hardware and sound >device manager>imaging devices>web cam....enable it
Another way is to use a IM application like Yahoo messenger,NetMeeting, etc. They will have video capabilities that will work with your webcam.

mcdevito75 here, Press the SHIFT key, a screen should come up telling you too click on your user name, left lower side of screen. If this doesn"t work, press the yellow blinking light on the monitor see if picture comes back, then follow the directions. If this doesn"t work, shut computer down with switch on the computer itself. Hope this helps.

T.V won't turn back on

Sounds like a component shorted out for sure. I will guess he will say, "It needs a new power board". I would guess a transistor or microchip burnt out. Probably ESD damage from a new factory worker.
