Capucinatore does not **** up any milk. On steam setting steam pipe just splutters and virtually no steam delivered. Have descaled and ventilated and hotwater production no problem.

First the cappucinatore went out, wouldn't draw milk from the bottle. Then the steam wand began to leak for a few seconds after being turned off. Now the steam wand has very little pressure and volume. The hot water dispenses through the wand with no problem. Descaled, rapped on the steam valve knob, no improvement. Next step, send for repairs?

I had same problem. You may need to descale first and if still a problem the steam valve may be clogged. First make sure the cappuccinatore lines are clean). If steam valve is clogged there is a trick to get it unclogged,- by tapping steam valve to loosen it up- but suggest contact Saeco USA Inc. to located a Service Center near you at 800-933-7876 (toll-free), ask for customer support, or contact SAECO via e-mail at : outlet@saeco-usa.com

Tip

Miele CVA4070 Steam (capucinatore) makes no noise and produces no steam

There are numerous problems where you get little or not steam but you can hear the pump trying to do something, this is often a blockage or a venturi tube problem and you can find numerous posts about how to fix it. If you get no noise at all when requesting steam then it is likely that the steam pump has failed. You can find the instructions to remove the steam pump (and most other components) here:
http://www.cagrimmett.com/justanswer/cva4075.pdf
and you will also find detailed schematics of each of the systems. I removed the back plates as described and found that my steam pump showed clear signs of having burned out while the coffee/hot water pump looked fine.

Capucinatore problem?

Try programming the cappucinatore button. First try holding it down for about 20 seconds while steaming. See if it will steam for 20 seconds after that without holding the button down.
