Ok it sounds like your pump is blocked. heres what to do. 1st-- drain water out with a pot or small bucket. now you can remove the agitator by removing the center of the agitator and looking down the center of it and unscrewing the plastic wingnut, then lift the agitator out.this will make it easier to remove the water with a pot or bucket. once it is drained, pull the machine away from the wall and tip it back so you can see underneath. look to the right, do you see a red or black fan? if you do this, is your pump.try turning the fan clockwise then anticlockwise to see if it loose. now just another question, where is the water draining into?is it draining into the sink or on the s bend on the drain pipe?if the pump is tight and turning it loosens it then you might have fixed it. put the agitator back on and select a spin cycle and hit the start button. it should start draining. please reply if it does not. also if your drain hose is on the tub pipe, remove it and see if there is a blockage on the spout.please reply for further help if required.

ok.had a look in the manual and found out your model has the pump with the mechanical diverter.the only way to unjam it easily, is from the bottom.there are 2 screws holding it to the base of the bowl ,undo these 2 screws and the pump will come out.be careful to note the way it goes back together and where the seal sits for the pump.once removed clean any objects that might cause it to jam or block and refit.see how you go and please don"t hesitate to reply for more help.i check my emails twice a day.good luck.bby the way switch the power off at the power point before you work on it,just to be safe.

Washer won't spin

Hi hometownrock,

The washing machine may have a problem draining the water, if it cannot drain the water, then the cycle will not progress to Spin. You may have a foreign object in the Drain Pump Filter, this must be checked.

Please follow my below Tip on how to do this:

ACCESSING, DRAINING & CLEANING THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER...

Kind Regards

Whirlpool washing machine won`t spin or pump out

if youre handy with tools , check out the DRAIN MOTOR PUMP , usually located at the bottom on a side of the washer , it could be clogged with lint or debris , need to open washer , remove the DRAIN MOTOR , inspect inside to remove and clean it , be ready with rags , theres a lot of water that will come out once you remove it . good luck AJ
