Sounds as if there are no drivers loaded for the Keyboard or Touch pad. If you have not already saved your data you'll need to remove the HDD and put it in a USB Caddy and save your data then wipe the HDD and do a complete reinstall from a Blank HDD with either the Restore CD that came with the NB or an OEM Cd as it will have default drivers for these items. After you have it working again you'll need to log onto the makers Web Site and download the latest Drivers and install them .
Also go to your device manager,uninstall the keyboard and mouse drivers then go to microsoft and get the update drivers rebot at every driver,look in the confliction box it will tell you whats wrong
