Liftmaster Garage Door Opener won't clear codes

This was a first generation learn button model. Antiquated by current technology standards. It was a two channel system. One channel for a dip switch remote, the second for a 66LM key pad. No way to erase the programming, however, by programming in a dip switch remote (61LM with the dip switches set to new positions, and a 66lm set to a new entry code) will purge the two channels of their previous memory, now set to the the new settings.

Dip switch

You don't need codes. I'm not sure what you are trying to do but to program the opener for a remote you need to hold the button down on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. The smart/learn button is on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go.

How can I reprogram an old style 61LM to a garage door with a learn button? Thanks!

Th?? Liftmaster 61LM remote ?? th? equivalent remote tο th? Sears Craftsman 139 model number listed above. It h?? dip switches inside th? battery compartment th?t ?ου match up w?th ?ουr existing remote tο m?k? ?t open ?ουr garage door. Th?r? ?? ???ο a set οf dip switches οn th? overhead opener itself ?f ?ου nο longer h?ν? a working remote. It ?hου?? b? easy tο find οn th? garage door opener. Th?? remote operates οn a 390 MHZ Frequency, ?n? works οn models frοm 1984-1992 essentially.

There will be a colored learn button on the motor head. Press and release this button and then press the button on the remote. That is it. Thanks BB

Your opener doesn't have dip codes. It has a smart/learn button that is near where all those white wires go. Make sure you bought the correct remote for your model.

Chamberlain CLT1D Remote Problems

Its very possible for someone esle to have your code I would say try two things. The first thing is too check your wall button wire shake it is a little make sure there are not cuts or staples in the wire its self cause it to short out and run. Then change your codes is pretty easy on the back of the opener unit its self there are the dip switchs you will most likly need a step stool. Just move 2 or so of the dip switchs and then move the same ones on your remote. On your remote the dip switchs should be undernether the batter cover
