Problems with the gauge rod not turning

I have adopted a Hobart Meat Slicer and cleaned it up, but I think that the rods that move the plate are seized? I am looking for a picture or a diagram that shows what it's should look like from underneath the gauge casing. Any thoughts? I would really appreciate some troubleshooting ideas.
