Is there a pattern to the blinking? This may be blinking an error code that is indicating the nature of the problem. count how many times it blinks, and wether you hear any sounds such as clicking.

The power light cuts right off and the television does not come on the power light just blinks then cut off


Count the number of "blink" and then google your make and model. At the end add "blink codes". The number and sequence of the blinks is a self diagnosis for your tv and will tell you what the problem is.

Hi:

You are in HV shutdown mode, Have the Horizontal output transistor replaced as well as the Horizontal output transformer. These are the most common failure for this problem, The three blinks indicates Delfection problem, and these parts are part of the main High Voltage Deflection circuits.

Reset button on 52 in rca rear p52940 home theater projection television located


this set does not have a reset button if there is a system lock out unpluging it for 3 or 4 mins will reset when pluged back in
if that does not help try trouble shooting the set ck the ac fuse and so on

Blinking power button


Blinking power light is usually due to bad capacitors on the power supply. See the tip for RCA atc336 under my profile that can apply to your set as well.

Rca home theater problem


The trouble is the front panel buttons,unplug the unit and remove the back cover,just below were you removed the top screws,you can look under and see the top of the tubes,there is a small board in front of the middle tube,unplug the right top cable off this board and you can use your remoten till you can get it serviced

Sounds like a bad SSB(small signal board) module. Better take it to a RCA AUTHORIZED service center.
