My old NAD C350 AMP diode turns green when the amp is switched on, says one click, but the second click sound does not appear, like in the good old days. What to do?

Your receiver has a condition known as DC Offset, meaning you have a damaged amplifier. That second relay click, that you don't hear now, is the speaker protection relay not closing, due to the damage.

If you're interested in having your receiver repaired, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. Thank you.

What does forum mean

A forum is a place where people share thoughts online about a common interest. Typically, you will need to register with the forum and may need to wait to be approved. Once registered, you would login to the forum and read "threads", post to them to share, or start a new thread. A "thread" is generally a term used to describe a topic and it's discussion entries made by various people sharing on that topic. I have a old NAD 214 amp. I think its broke. the music sounds like a cheap cell phone in a fringe area. One channel plays at a time, in and out signal bad. What is this?

Sounds like your control pots are dirty. Remove the knobs. Get some good cleaner at Radio Shack. Something with alcohol, and some other ingredients which will remain. Try tuner cleaner, blue shower, etc. Spray the cleaner into the pots and rotate end to end. May have to do this several times to get all the dirt. When it starts to sound like it used to you are done. Let me know how this works out.

I've been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It's pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be a lot more useful than ever before.

It is most probably a dirty speaker protection relay. gently tap the relay(the one that engages shortly after turning the amp on) when the fault is occurring and see audio returns. This should ascertain the problem. Replace it if it is a sealed type, or if it has a "lid" you can get off, burnish the contacts with a white business card, and give it a spray with contact cleaner/lubricant. Good luck and a "fixYa" rating would be great for my profile :)
