I just purchased the last of a particular computer in stock at my local best buy. Unfortunately, it's the display computer, and it won't let me format the C: drive or access the recovery drive. How would I go about removing everything from the computer?

No, not all new computers make this squeaking sound. It may be a defect of one of the internal components of the machine, and it may be present in all of those same models. You could try to replace it one more time, and then talk to Best Buy about using the gift card to buy a different computer model.
You should upgrade your computer to XP, ME is a horrible version unfortunately. It is about 150$ for a copy of xp and then you will have a copy forever. The printer unfortunately will not work with Millenium. thanks, Lee
Open the case and blow out the dust around the fans and all inside the computer with compressed air. You can purchase cans of compressed air where ever computers are sold or repaired. Walmart, local computer shops, Best Buy, etc.
with recovery or win cd in drive restart pc and do a format
when prompted hit enter to start with cd
then choose option for new installation then when asked to delete selected partition choose option to delete
then just read and follow instructions
Hi Angela' Usually printers are shipped without USB cables. There is no particular cable you need for your printer. It is a standard USB printer cable which you can ask for at your local computer store.
I went to a local computer store and purchased a new mother board which is all I needed to begin with but no one was willing to tell me how to get one without a charging me for the information on how to purchase a mother board from your company. but thank you anyway.
Hey JLS95, If you do not have a valid product key, there unfortunately is no way to access the Office software. In such cases it is recommended that you contact the manufacturer of your computer directly, assuming that the software was preinstalled on your computer at the time of sale. Not all manufacturers will provide recovery CD's or product key information with newer computers, and in such cases you must speak with the computer manufacturer to obtain them. In the event that you purchased a full version of the MS Office suite from your local Best Buy™ store and had it installed by us instead, you should have been given the installation CD and all associated documentation once the work was complete. You may wish to double-check your store receipt to determine what the case may be, and if you did purchase a full version of the software you'll need to speak with a manager at the store where you had the software installed for more information. Hope this helps you out. Sincerely, Aaron Go Ahead. Use Us.
Your best bet for any replacement battery is gonna be ebay. Its easiest to find the specific battery you need, prices are always good, and shipping is generally fast. A few important keys to buying computer parts on ebay:
1. Make sure the part is compatible; Usually, sellers disclaim any liability for malfunction caused by an incompatible part.
2. Check the seller's feedback; Avoid those who have very few feedback scores, or who have recent negative feedback.
3. Only shop locally; Order parts from your own nation. If you're in the U.S., only purchase from U.S. sellers.
Laptop batteries can run anywhere between 30 and 100 dollars new on ebay, but its the best combination of cost and quality for most computer parts.
