Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I fix horizontal lines on the viewer and pictures of my Olympus SP-560 UZ

If you have both, lines on the display, and on the pictures, I'm afraid something is wring with the sensor, or with the connections to the sensor. That is if you have the same lines on every picture.
If you only have horizontal lines, when taking pictures of bright lights in a dark area, it is just a phenomena of the camera. In almost all digital camera's this can happen.

The srceen stays black when you take a picture

If the menus work, that tells you the LCD is OK, so the next possible thing is the shutter is jammed shut - marginal repair now.

No picture!

Was everything printing fine before you installed the new ink cartridges?

if yes:
make sure you seated the cartridges down properly. if they dont snap into place they dont make a connection and won't work.

if no:
sounds like your print head is clogged up. try cleaning it with some alcohol. if alcohol doesnt work you may need a new print head.

Let me know how that goes.
