Determine if your engine is a two-stroke or a four-stroke. Check the gas tank on your lawnmower or the owner's manual to determine what type of engine you have.

Read the label of your two-stroke oil. Follow the directions on the package to ensure the right mix.
Measure and pour the gasoline in to the empty gas can.

Add four ounces of two-stroke oil per each gallon of gas.

Replace the cap on the gas can and shake the oil and gas to mix. Add fuel to your engine.

Take care.

I've lost the manual & there's nothing on the tank to id what type of fuel or mix to use. The model # is 24A-462G729. It has a 5.5 horse power Briggs & Stratton motor.

For almost all modern two-stroke engines, a 50-to-1 mixture is
recommended. That requires about 2 1/2 oz. oil for every gallon of
gasoline.Use only two-cycle oil for your mixture.

    Take care.

That specific engine runs on gasoline ONLY! 85 Octane minimum. You don't use a fuel/oil mix. You add oil to the engine separately (5w-30 or 10w-30)

Pretty much all are normal petrol in the fuel tank and the oil is on another tank. The oil is mixed as it enters the inlet manifold.

I have a Ryobi RPT3000 trimmer. Firstly how do I top up engine oil? And then how do I restring it?

The engine on that trimmer will be a 2 stroke 30cc engine not a 4 stroke.
"Two Stroke Oil" is added to the fuel for a 2 stroke fuel mix in accordance with the proportions specified by Ryobi for that engine. The required petrol/oil mix may be printed on the top of the fuel cap. No other oil is used in a 2 stroke engine.

There are a number of videos on Youtube people have uploaded which will show you how to replace the pull cord on a trimmer.

Tomos dirt bike

is the bike a 2 stroke or four stroke four stroke is just straight pump fuel,if it is a two stroke then it is either premix where you mix two stroke oil into the fuel or there is a oil bottle on the bike uesally under the seat where the oil and fuel mixes itself,a two stroke motor has no valves and has a expansion chamber exhaust which means it is not a staight pipe it blows out in size in the middle of it .if it is a new four stroke ask the dealer wether to use a higher octane fuel for it cheers i hope this helps cheers pete

Won at my kids kempo class gio ya49 model what do i need to do to start it not sure if straight gas or mix also do i add oil anywhere thanx

You are going to need more information before you start this up.
You need to know whether it is 2-stroke or 4-stroke.
You need to know the manufacturer, I see some use 25 parts gasoline to 1 part 2-stroke oil. Other machines use a different proportion.
If it is this manufacturer, mix say 25 ounces of gas with 1 ounce of 2-stroke oil in a separate container and pour into gas tank.
If it is 4-stroke, you will need oil in the crankcase, not in the fuel tank.
Try to find the name of the bike/quad somewhere.

Troy built 27cc string trimmer Model TB21 EC. What is the gas oil mix ratio?

4 cycle engines do not run on mixed fuel. Run on straight fuel. They have a spot to put oil in just like a lawn mover, and should be changed regularly. @ stroke engines run on mixed fuel.

Just bought a McCulloch 32cc, Mdoel 3214 from a pawn shop with no manual. Does it require mixing oil with the gas and if so what ratio?

Fuel requires 2-cycle oil be added, bar oil is straight from the container.

Oil Mix Ratio:
The following ratios have been recommended for the last 10-15 years.
Dolmar, Echo, Efco, Homelite, Husqvarna, Jonsered, Makita, Oleo-Mac, Red Max, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Solo, Spear & Jackson, Stihl & Tanaka; all recommend 50:1.
1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
4 liters of premium fuel to 80 milliliters of quality 2-cycle oil.
McCulloch, Poulan & Wen; recommend 40:1.
1 gallon of premium fuel to 3.2 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
4 liters of premium fuel to 100 milliliters of quality 2-cycle oil.
Chinese chainsaws recommend 25:1.

What oil do you use in the four cycle motor/ 29cc

Generally speaking, if there is a place on a gas-powered device that is labeled "gas" & a separate location labeled "oil" than you will need to use a 4-cycle oil for that machine. If there is just a place to put gas, you would use a 2-cycle oil; however, you would need to read the directions/manual to find out the correct proportion of oil to use, because you will have to MIX the appropriate amount of oil with the correct amount of gas, making a oil/gas solution that you would use for that specific device.

Well since it's a 4 stroke I can't mix it with the gas. I drained out all the old oil and I just need to know the correct porportion of oil to re add to my bike

The proportion is 100% oil, don't mix it with anything. Put in two quarts, stand the bike straight up and check the oil. Add one half quart at a time until it registers full on the stick or in the sight glass.
