Question about Western Digital My Passport Essential SE 1TB External USB 20 Portable Black 1 TB Hard Drive
I copied a file from my hard disk to my pc desktop.Suddenly it asked me to save it in a different location or else my hard disk will be correpted.I quickly removed my hard disk from my PC but when i re inserted my harddisk it was not detected.what do i do now?
You can't do very much, the damage is already done. The only thing you can do is to remove the hard disk from the case, put it in a pc and try to access it from there - most likely you will have to use a recovery soft to get some of your files back. Once that's done test the disk for faults using HDTune, the free version. If it reports errors, even small ones, then it's dying (or already dead) - junk it and buy a new one.
