Question about Reddy Heater-30-55,000 BTU Variable
I have a Vogelzang kerosene heater that will not produce spark. The model is American Salamander 155. The unit powers on when plugged in and then trips the breaker after about 5 seconds, due to the safety features. The fuel is atomizing well, fan runs great but just no spark. Looking for any info to troubleshoot or check the different components. I don't know if it is the circuit board, ignition transformer, or other small transformer? I am getting 120v to the ignition transformer.
If it's tripping the breaker that means some wire is grounded .Check all safety wire to make sure they are not exposed and touching the unit frame .
Just follow the sequence of operation and you should find the problem

There is an igniter module and then the igniter electrodes (check the air gap) that produces the spark to start the fuel burning, both could be defective.
