Finding black debrie on clothes from wash machine

The material looks like a black leaf. It is not greasy and crumbles to the touch. I suspected it might be from the sacrificial rod in the hot water heater. Replaced heater about two months ago but still get this material.

Hello. Check the seal at the bottom of the washer. It may be worn and deteriorating. This causes grease from the bearings to enter the drum and get on the clothes. J.

This debrie looks like pieces of a leave, have one that is about 3/4" x 1/2" insize. Most are smaller. I checked with a magnet and it's not attracked. It falls off the clothes when they are shaken.

I have a maytag bravos xl top loader with the water saver i cannot find a detergent that doesnt get rid of the soap it covers my black clothes

powder detergents are generally the reason for that as they use a clay base to carry the active detergent and it is that base that is the problem
Try using a liquid detergent
next try using a wash bag that you put clothes in to put in the wash as that also stops marks and fluff from getting onto black or dark colored cloths

Why do i have loud noises coming from my washing machine only whilst it spins

The bearing in the drum has failed and it's always noiier as it spins faster as there is more debris being thrown around inside the hardened steel casing of the bearing. Bad news is that's a write off. Uneconomical repair. It will tear its self apart shortly, probably leaking grease into the wash and leaving black marks everywhere, oor the drive belt will come off, or the drum will impact the front gasket and fill the drum with smoke. Any way you look at it, it's almost certainly going to destroy a load of washing. Throw it away now before it wrecks your washing

My machine shows a key ow i cant wash my cloths how to un lock this

If you mean error OE, it means you have debris that is plugging the pump, the tub to pump hose or the drain hose. Please check those and remove it. If not, please for my clothing trapped between the tub and th spin basket.

Am using Daewoo - DWF-750S Top loading washing machine. We have the problem of black film built up at the back of the drum. Am using powder to liquid detergent, the problem still persisted, infact the

Frequently, if you use low temperature washes most of the time, a layer of grease (sounds yukky) builds up in all washing machines. The way around this is to find some clothes (boiler suits or overalls would do) which require high-temperature washes to remove grease and run these through at a high temperature wash for a couple of washes, using both detergent and washing soda (Na2CO3, sodium carbonate). The sodium carbonate will dissolve the grease, both on the clothes and the washing machine.

I am getting alot of what looks like old hardened soap debris on my clothes after the wash cycle is complete. Where is this accumulating and how can this be solved?

Hi there,

You should try another soap or liquid soaps. If the problem persists, you're loading too much on the washing machine. Try lessening the load to allow free tumbling of clothes during the wash cycle.

Hope this helps,
please do rate if it does,
thanks

I have a 5E error on the diplay of my washing machine with the clothes locked inside and with no solution whatsoever .... Help Please

If its a samsung model, which I am assuming it is as I have just had the same error code, it means you need to clean your debris filter.

If its a samsung washing machine...to clean the debris filter you need to open the panel which is located on the front of the washing machine on the bottom right (you will need a coin or a key to do this) When you do you will see a large black plastic screw on the left and a small white plastic screw on the right.

The 1st thing you need to do is pull out the white screw (this is the emergency drain hose) have a bowl or bucket ready (the hose doesnt reach that far) and pull of the white knob (i had to kind of twist and pull, a little harder than i thought)

After you have drained the water you can now clean the debris filter (the large black screw) Have some towels or another bowl or bucket ready underneath as more water will drain. When all gone you can twist off the black screw and remove anything blocking (I had a coin and a plastic wrapper and some tooth picks. No more error message.

Good Luck!

Debrie found on clothes after washing

Hi,
This is sometimes caused by grease coming from the drum bearing through a failing seal. If this isn't checked and repaired as necessary, the drum bearing will fail pretty soon and then the machine will make a nasty grinding noise and that will be the end of it. I hope you have some other cause in your case! Do make sure the filter is cleaned and then run the machine on a hot cycle with no clothes in it to give it a really good clean.

Hope this helps. D.

Black oil or grease on clothes after washing

is you machine a top loader or front loader? if its a front loader the black marks could be from the boot. WIpe the boot with a good cleaner. and try not to over load machine. and if it a top loader your transmission is probably leaking oil back into clothes tub. You could have it rebuilt $$$ or better replace the machine.
