I think you better not try to dismantle your lcd, even if you have a manual or video instructions, you might have problems that may arise, for example not fitting it back again in proper fitment, maybe try using a vacuum cleaner fitter with a suction or something, i would not advise opening your lcd just to clean it, it would be a waste if you have done cleaning it but eventually ending up with a clean lcd but not functioning.

My church screen projector shows little bubbles on the screen and every time I put up worship songs or photos on the screen in church, you see bubbles, and It does not look good

If it's an LCD base projector, then you'll need to clean out the dust particles that have accumulated on the LCDs that will require you to open up the projector, which I wouldn't recommend if you're not too familiar as there are many components inside.

Dc59 I removed the clear canister but the inside with the chambers with a mesh cover are filled with a fine powder. How to I clean?

I have the same buildup of very fine, powderlike, dust/dirt particles behind the mesh screen.

I do not doubt your technological explanation as to why/how this accumulation has occurred but there is another issue created by this buildup and an concern to go with it.

The issue is that this accumulation literally stinks. We have 4 cats and a dog which is likely why there is such an odor. There must be a way to remove this stuff.

The concern is that, after putting up with the stinky Dyson and the continued accumulation, the "dust" will eventually completely fill the space behind the mesh screen. When that screen is completely filled is the only solution we have is to spend another $600 for a new Dyson?

The Dyson is not your typical disposable technology that we often buy today. We chose to spend the extra $ for the Dyson because of the spirit cleaning of the unit. Had we known the unit would, within 6 mos., begin to stink and would likely need to be thrown away within two years we would have purchased a less expensive brand.

Since we have learned now that Dysons are stinky and disposable units we can run it under water, let it dry and hope for the best?

Philips 42PFL7662D problem

I come across this every day with LCD Tvs.What it is, is dust between the layers of the LCD. When dust particles settle behind the front layer of the LCD, and the LCD is pressed i.e when cleaned, the layers can be pushed together, resulting in a shadowy streak. If the LCD is stripped and cleaned it will be ok.

Yellow spots on the projected image

Hello there. First, some info you need...Green LCD=purple onscreen, Red LCD=cyan(baby blue) onscreen, and Blue LCD=yellow onscreen.
These spots (specks?) are probably dust particles that get past the filter. Annoying but harmless. To check if they are indeed dust bits, if you can focus sharply on them, then yes, its dust. To remove the particles completely will require a service. They will only return eventually. You can try to blow out the biggest offenders with some canned air. And, to help slow down dust entry, keep the dust filter cleaned so that the unit always has plenty of air movement--you'll have a cleaner image with the added benefit of LONGER life of the lamp and projector components (dust is the number 1 killer of projectors)

DARK SHADOW EFFECT UPPER CORNERS OF SCREEN

I would check for dust particles before I attempted any type of repair on the unit.

Dust particles will appear as dark spots that are larger than the size of an individual pixel. It must first be determined if the particle(s) are on the LCD panels or the screen.

Hold the camera upside down and gently blow off any grit and lose dust particles. Next lightly wipe the lens with a few drops of lens cleaning fluid, place the fluid on the lens cleaning paper, not directly onto the lens and then wipe the lens.

Hello, inside the set there is an optical unit with 3LCD panels. Somehow the dust particles came into your set and now the dust is all over the optical unit and 3LCD panels. Only way to solve this issue is to clean the dust. Please contact your Sony dealer. Best regards, Arpi
