Question about Canon PIXMA MP760 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printing is very very light.

I have a canon pixma MP760 printer. It will not print, it comes out very light. There is full ink. I have tried all the manual maintenance available on the printer, but nothing has helped. Is this fixable or do i need to get a new one?

Canon pixma mp760 is not printing even though all inks are full

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

My Canon pixma mp760 wont print in black. colour printing is ok

Possible that the B&W ink cartridge is faulty or there is poor installation . You need to shut down the printer and remove the ink cartridge. now reinstall after ensuring that printer was disconnected and then connected.

Nozzle test does not show pattern for either BLACK output; deep clean does not correct problem. both catridges have plenty ink. color displays are ok.

CANON MP780 BLACK DOES NOT PRINT

This is what works for me. Try at your own risk. I cleaned both areas.

CLEAN PRINTHEAD:

Perform a nozzle check using the Canon software under "maintenance." If the nozzle check prints successfully, the problem is most likely not with the printhead. Otherwise, 1) Lift up the lever above the ink cartridges. Take the ink cartridges out. Put them in a plastic zip lock bag. 2) The container in which the ink cartridges sit is removable. The container is inside the moving mechanism. The container is the printhead. Tilt it slightly and pull up. This should come out easily. 3) There are round pads under which the ink cartridges sit in the printhead you removed. The large one is black. On the underside of the printhead are small slits. The **** separated from the others is black. Fill a syringe with Windex. a. Run warm water over the printhead until no more ink comes out. b. Fill the areas where the round pads are with Windex. c. Set the printhead on some paper towels. The liquid will soak through and come out the underside along with the ink. Repeat steps a-c until no more ink comes out, but at least 10 times. 4) Let the print head sit and dry for two hours. Put everything back in the printer. Unplug the printer. Plug in the printer. Turn the printer off. Turn the printer on. Do a clean cycle.

CLEAN PURGE MECHANISM:

You will need a light. 1) Unplug the printer and move the printhead all the way to the left. On the far right are two rectangular basins. The smaller one is black. Take your fingernail or a tweezers and lift out the sponge pad (do not drop it). Soak the sponge pad in Windex until it turns white. Plug in the printer. 2) Fill a syringe with Windex. a. Fill the basin with liquid. b. Let it soak for 5 minutes. c. Turn the printer off. d. Turn the printer on. Repeat steps a-d until you see a small hole in the basin. e. Put the syringe over the hole and fill the basin, pushing the liquid into the hole. f. Let it soak for 5 minutes. g. Turn the printer off. h. Turn the printer on. Repeat steps e-h 5 to 10 times. 3) Put the sponge pad back in using your fingers (do not drop it). Unplug the printer. Plug in the printer. Turn the printer off. Turn the printer on. Do a clean cycle.

I'm curious as to how you cleaned the ink absorbers since they are normally sealed.

Go to the Cannon USA website and search using the terms full ink absorbers and MP760.

Let me know if you still cannot find the answer.

My MP760 just stopped printing all colors except 3eBK. Made nice color prints two days ago. No warns or messages.

I'm not sure if you have solved this or not but try replacing the printhead. I had a similar problem with my MP760 and the IT guy for my office suggested I do this and it worked!

Printing in yellow tones, all ink cartridges are full and grid pattern ok and nozzles cleaned

Possibly the print head is getting plugged or the color map settings are changed. Try removing the printer and reinstalling the drivers as well as clicking the "default" settings button after. If this does not fix it, possibly the head itself is ok on a test pattern with low ink but on printing is not delivering full ink in all colors, only yellow, indicating the head is plugging. Possibly cleaning with alcohol would help, place a drop on each place the cartridge inserts on the ink tubes and also clean the head surface where the ink comes out with a Q-tip and alcohol and then do a regular head clean.

Changed the print head in my Canon MP760 but now printing is blurred and very faint

Try cleaning the felt pads where the print head would rest when not printing. They get full of ink and cause more printing problems. I use water to clean them.Don't loose them, they are needed to keep the print head from drying out.

Streaky printing from canon pixma MP600

There is usually a maintenance button or similar in the "printer properties" dialog box to run a cleaning cycle."Right click" on your printer, select "properties", and you should see something. Try that.
Also, are these Original cartridges or compatibles / refills? Non originals can often cause image quality problems

Maybe an obvious answer, but have you cleaned the print heads several times? You can also remove the cartridges, remove the entire print head and clean it with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip.
