Insert the cruzer into the usb port. You should see a message pop up and say new hardware found and then flash off. It may also say usb memory or storage device or even recognize it as the cruzor. This recognition process is fairly quick say 5-10 seconds. After that the computer knows what the cruzer is and its ready for use.

The cruzer is now seen as another drive or storage drive on your computer. Your hard drive is usually C , the CD/DVD would be D drive and the cruzer would be seen as E. If you are in a program and want to save to the cruzer you open the file/save and you should see E drive or Cruzer if not click on my computer and look for it there. Once you find it just click on it and then hit save/ok. Thats all there is to using one. Once you know how to find it as a save option or a loading option then you just treat it like a hard drive.

Once you get it sorted out you will use it a lot. They are very handy.

Hello,

follow the steps below:

  1. Turn on your computer and open the folder for the files that need to be saved to a flash drive.
  2. Plug the Sandisk Micro USB flash drive into the USB port on your computer. Your computer should automatically recognize the new "hardware" and begin installing any drivers needed for basic operation for the flash drive.
  3. Once the installation is complete, click on the "My Computer" or "Computer" icon on your desktop. If the icon is not there, you may also find it in the Start menu.
  4. Double click the drive that shows your "removable disk," which is the Sandisk flash drive.
  5. Click back to the folder with the files that need to be saved on the flash drive. Click and hold each file while dragging and dropping it onto the flash drive folder.
  6. Go to the bottom task bar and click to open the Sandisk flash drive icon. This will open a window that allows you to "safely remove hardware" from your computer. Click "stop" to end the device and then safely unplug the Sandisk flash drive.
Good luck.

SOURCE: I have a cruzer micro 16Gb flash drive with 14.9Gb

Did you reformat as NTFS instead of the default FAT32? FAT32 can only transfer files up to 4.0Gb in size. If you reformat as NTFS, you can move larger files.

Cannot save to sandisk cruzer 2gb flash drive

This seems to occur when used on different computers (especially if using sync software) and seems to occur if a drive is removed when Word (or whatever) is still open. I saved the files with an a at the end to resolve it. Always use the safe disconnect option in the taskbar

This error means you dont have suffecient priviledges to save. It sounds like you need to be logged into an Administrator account. If you are, Right click the icon for the flash drive, And click Run As Administrator
