Question about Samsung Projection Televisions
When the feature is turned on, the 100 hertz feature with my Samsung 40" LCD sometimes causes picture to be jerky for periods, (i.e. smooth, then jerky intermittently). Only resolved by switching 100 hertz off in TV menu. This is worse when using downloaded movies from Apple TV (lower resolution), DVD's are mostly OK, but occasionally happens. Is this due to problems decoding highly compressed formats? Or just trying to display lower resolution pictures?
got mine working better unplugged the sound and wiggled the plastic coated wire above the large fan works but freezes maybe once in a day some days never have the sound running through the receiver (surround) I shut it off and it comes back on when it does freeze figure loose connection

SOURCE: Samsung LE32R7 Picture Flashing
I have a 37"Samsung LCD and having just spoken to the Sky engineer (also a friend) he says it is a national problem between Sky+ and Samsung. I have the same problem when on playback but not on real time? If you had your box changed to an Amstrad what sort did you have the problem with?

Given the fact that most functions of this set are comtrolled by CPUs, a fault in the 5V supply can cause this. Since you have checked for bad connections, I would look to bad caps in the 5V supply. Also, check the set when you have no picture and see if perhaps the backlight is no working properly. To see this, look closely while the set is on and flash a flashlight on the screen, if you can faintly see the picture, there is a good possibilty that the back light is not working. That would bring us to a different set oc circuits.
Update this with your results and we'll continue from there.

Go to PS3 / Display settings. Set superbright OFF, even if you don't have HDMI. Set Cross Color Reduction to OFF. Set Display to only one resolution, not all of them as you probably have it now. Set it ot the highest possible resolution and uncheck all other boxes. The 480i is always on by default. The issue, which was very annoying, was fixed for me. I have a mitsubishi 65 inch RP that is pretty bright on daytime/sunlight scenes, so I never thought it was the PS3, but only whet the PS3 was used did this occur. I scanned this site via google to find that nobody else appeared to have resolved this. So after some changes and testing this solution worked for me. Enjoy! - Dave Walz
P.S. I think the only real fix was to set just one display resolution, but I am now watching a movie and am not going to stop it to find out. :) That's for whomever follows this posting to find out for themselves. Either way, this is working great.
