Check the voltage to the spin motor or its continuity.
If OK then try to move the mechanics two three turns.

Maytag washer repair

The washing machine timer can be considered the brain that controls the washing machine's systems. Although timers are ruggedly constructed, they contain a variety of tiny parts, like springs and movable contacts, that can develop problems that keep the machine from operating properly. The movable contacts can become burned and fuse together or they can become stuck in the open position, thus disrupting the wash cycles. The timer's motor can also become defective, thus preventing the timer from advancing through its cycles.

a defective timer motor, the motor's control contacts stuck in the open position or defective drive gears. Unplug the timer's wiring harness, then, with the timer set to any position other than off, check for continuity through the motor contacts. Continuity will be indicated by a "0.000" on the meter's display. A pictorial diagram on the back of the machine will tell you which numbers on the timer socket corresponds to which set of contacts in the timer. Likewise, a functional timer motor will display a resistance reading greater than 0.000, but less than 5 ohms. Open contacts or a defective motor winding will be indicated by an "O.L." on the meter's display.
IF A defective timer will only work in some cycles and not others. Then check for a broken wire in the wiring harness, check for continuity through those contacts using your meter. Wires in the wiring harness can break, but it's not a common occurrence unless they get pinched during the assembly of the machine.

If the same part of each cycle setting, such as the spin cycle does not operate properly, the problem probably is not the timer but some other component such as the transmission shifting mechanism. If the problem occurs when using only one cycle setting, the problem is a bad timer.

My Hoover500MB washing machine sometimes doesnt agitate or spin but will empty and fill

99% of those problems are with the lid switch. Check make sure it is functioning properly.

My wcsr2090g3ww doesnt spin

I have fixed this problem before with a speed select switch. It is either that or the timer switch (which is the large selector mechanism that you turn to select the cycle you want).

Maytag Model# A9200 Washing machine will fill with water, but will not agitate. once the timer reaches the spin cycle it spins out. When washer is supposed to be agitating washer doesnt make a sound.

That sounds to me like the timer is going to be the problem
i base that on that it spins/ that eliminates the lid switch
also the motor is ruled out since it runs in the spin cycle
plus the water level switch is good or it would overfill

so to me based on that its the timer

the part number for the timer is 207379 it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at;

Washer works but does not run through the spin cycle. it will if i go to it with the timer switch. but not with the timer. when washer gets to the off pos. still has water in it. sat and watched it on...

Sounds like the timer isn't advancing does'nt it.
See if there is power getting to timer motor, but sounds more like timer getting stuck ,especially if older model .replace timer if out of warranty

good luck

Kenmore washer

Check the lid switch first, make sure when you close the lid the switch is activated with the tab on the lid, if the switch doesnt work, your machine will only fill and wait for the lid switch to be satisified. You should hear the lid switch lick or snap when you open and close the lid.

Start here, if could be the motor or timer, however check lid switch first.
