Question about Samsung SyncMaster T200 LCD Monitor
there are different possible reasons why the display on your monitor went out ..and there's different ways for you to find out what causes this..
1. First, check if the vga cable connected on your monitor is secure and the end cable is properly fix at the video card of your computer.. shutdown your computer, fix and secure the vga cable and turn on your computer..
2. Check if your video card is working and if its properly seated on the motherboard...shutdown your computer replace video card and turn on computer, or shutdown your computer disconnect and reseat properly the video card on the motherboard.. turn on the computer..
3. If you have the skills and the right tools... open the backcover of your monitor...on the power supply section, check and replace blown capacitor, replace bulge capacitors with same value.. inspect and resolder loose terminal connections.. that should fix it and the button of your monitor will turn green again.
4. If the display didn't come out when button is green.. better check the inverter board... check and replace burnt high voltage transformer that is overheating and causing instability on the supply current. check also the backlight inverter and replace the busted, the backlight is responsible for the display in your lcd monitor.
The last two steps is very risky to do by yourself if you don't have the knowledge on it.. better bring it to a credible technician to do the repair and avail of the warranty if there is.
I hope I gave you the right information you need..

Check the pwer supply section first.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.
