Hi! I can't find any way to get my Advent 4211-C (Windows XP OS) webcam working on Skype (the only webcam function I currently use). Cyberlink says there's "No available Captured Device". I don't understand - can you please help?!!!

Advent 4211 always require you to enable it everytime you turn the laptop on. it is Fn key + F10 I think. Look for the Function key at the top of your keyboard which has a picture of a webcam. Hold down the FN key at the bottom left, and then click on the correct 'F' key. You should see a little picture come up on the screen to say you have enabled your webcam. That should work.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

I need to install my webcam driver of 4211-c so plz find out the driver tell me how to find out the webcam driver

According to the manufacturers website (Advent is actually a rebranded MSI Wind U100) you shouldnt need any divers as it uses the "This device uses the native driver bundled in operating system." It should just work. You can find more information here http://www.msi.com/product/nb/U100.html#/?div=Driver&os=XP%2032

Advent 4211-b problem with built in webcam not working

Go to the device manager. You will see a section called Imaging devices. Click on the plus sign. if any device is listed uninstall it and then restart your computer. The drivers will get installed automatically or you need to use the driver CD to reinstall the same. Once installed use any software like Cyberlink Youcam or any other software provided to you by your vendor. make sure the input device selected is the required webcam.
