I have a HP compaq 510. I can see the lens of the web cam on the inner part of the flap but when i installed skype it dident pick the web cam. please help me to get this fixed.

This may because you dont have the required drivers for the cam. I suggest you to browse Dell's website provide them the exact model of you laptop and download the latest drivers for your OS from there. This will hopefully resolve the issue.

There are two files needed for the webcam to work. Go to the HP support driver page and look for the driver for the Cyberlink Youcam. You'll have to put the exact model number in a special search box in order to download the youcam software from HP
