If this is a wireless connection, you may be experiencing interference from other wireless devices such as cordless phones. Try changing the Channel setting in your router's settings via the console.

I have an old Cisco wrv210. Is there a way to use this as a wireless bridge? Specifically can I set this up in a different location in the house, say the upstairs office, and have it wirelessly connect to...

Not currently. Many Linksys models can be flashed with DD WRT, a third party firmware, which allows wireless bridging. Currently the WRV210 is not supported.

Simple fix, this router is discontinued and you should take it back to the store to get a different one. Because it is a discontinued model they should easily refund or replace the item.

Base from the description of your problem this is a issue with the firmware of your router, so what you can do here is to do a firmware upgrade on the router and if there's no new firmware you can just reflash it with the existing firmware from Linksys web site.

You can follow the step by step procedure from this TIP of mine on how to upgrade firmware of the router , just click HERE and proceed with the upgrade.

I am configuring a engenius eoc-3610 with wds on a wrv210 cisco wireless router but the internet once setup is very slow.

Every node added to a WDS network cuts the network transmission speed in half. This is just a characteristic of any WDS connection, as WDS is a repeater protocol (it has to retransmit everything it receives).
It's not clear from your description whether you are trying to add the EOC and the Cisco to the same WDS network. If that is the case, it's a wonder you got it to work at all, since WDS implementations are model-specific, and usually require every node to be exactly the same model router.

2Wire Home Portal 1100 for AT&T DSL connection problem

HI! read your posting regarding the situation that your experiencing.. If before you dont have any problem regrding your connection with out the cisco network magic. I suggest that before you install the cisco network magic. you should get the full version not the trial version, there is a limitation of setting up the trial version.. Cisco network magic is a plug and play and easy to setup if you get the full version. I dont see any problem regarding your connection with the 2wire and the linksys router, becoz you mention earlier that hime network is working and you can connect to the network and the internet..
