Question about LG Televison & Video
Hi, My LG plasma keeps switching on and off after about 2 hours of use. You then have to unplug it for about 20 mins before it will work again. I have seen a fix on here for it by changing some of the capicitors, but my power supply is a different model to that one. My power supply is 6709900023A. If anyone knows which caps to change it would be most appreciated.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Vscan voltages on LG Plasma
Are your sparkles mainly red pixels flashing randomly over the TV screen, especially over darker areas? If so your sparkles are I believe a discharge problem, and can be fixed with a firmware upgrade, which I think resets and corrects the voltage and removes the sparkles, which is caused by misfiring of the gases produced with plasma TV's. I have had my TV repaired with a firmware upgrade, which takes only 10-15 minutes and is reasonably cheap repair, and now the TV looks great, no more sparkles. Don't play around with the voltages let the pros fix it, also beware! leave this too long and it can become permanent, and need a new screen which is half the price of the a new TV.

SOURCE: power shuts off and blinks red .
I had a similar problem, but mine didn´t switch on when pressing on button, I had to take the back cover off and hit the relays, it seems they get stuck, and are difficult to find to replace them. Now it has been working during almost a year with no problem at all. Mine is 4 years old.
