Question about Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS Receiver
I have a Garmin 660 that shuts down after a minute or so. The battery indicator was indicating no charge so I charged via my auto. It accepted 1/4 of a full charge and then stopped charging. I can turn the unit on but it automatically shuts down after about a minute.
When you leave a Nuvi on a charger for several hours and don't see full green bars, this is an indication that the battery is defective. Most Nuvi batteries last about 2 years. Most of the batteries have a date code of 2007. I would have the battery replaced as soon as possible as it can bloat and crack the case open. More info can be found here:
