What problem are you having with cable? If you are just using a coaxial cable to the tv you may want to consider going through a vcr as a workaround to your problem. This is a "throwaway" brand and offers basically no support at all. So a manual is almost impossible to come by. Have you entered the setup manual and done a channel scan? If you can't figure it out I would just use a vcr for the tuner.
Thank you,
Lee

I'm trying to hook up a 19" Sansui tv. I'm not on cable, but tried hooking it up to an antenna without any luck. What do I need to do to get the TV to work???

Make sure the TV can receive digital over the air signals (it should have an ATSC tuner), that is it doesn't need a digital converter box. In the menu settings make sure the TV is set to antenna, not cable. You should be able to use the auto-scan (auto-program, etc.) from the menu to find and program the local channels.

How to fix issues whith component outputs on haier hlh26atbb 26 in. lcd ?

When you make the connection with HDMI are you changing the source or input key on the television to activate HDMI port? If you don't activate the corresponding source you connect to and leave the TV in the TV mode, you won't actually see the device you are connecting. It's possible the TV does not support the 1080P from your PS3.

Where is the antenna connection located on LG MU-pm4211

Hi there
This may not be as helpful as you (or I for that matter) would wish but I am fairly sure of the accuracy of what I am about to reveal.
This quote from their on line manual which I managed to get to after much trouble will explain the problem you have:-
"The TV cannot display TV programming unless a TV tuner device or cable TV converter box is connected to the TV."
This does explain why having got their user manual up (eventually) I couldn't find a socket for an aerial/antenna on the diagram of the back of the device.
Product Support
This link will take you to the LG where there is a link to get the manual. However you also have to get something called "DjVu Reader" and install it. This only works in Internet Explorer apparently. I tried it in the Google Chrome browser and it didn't work, I had to go back to IE !!!!
I know this may not be much help, but it does explain your problem.
If you have a TV - DVD recorder, VCR, or some other such TV tuner device you may be able to connect the antenna/aerial to this and then connect this device to the LG TV.
Good luck.

Philips 19PS50S122 TV does not respond to remote control

Hello,
Please check your batteries in the tv remote as they appear to be weak or dead. You will need to find the cable remote's paper guide in order to properly program the cable remote so it can change channels, volume, and power functions on the tv set.
Good Luck!

Can't get sound to come from speakers with tv only the radio

You didn't give the brand and model of your TV, and I can't try to find a manual and see what kind of AV connections it has available. So here's some general information.

Many TV sets only have input jacks for external sources like DVD players or cable boxes. When you select an external source, or use the set's internal tuner for TV programming, the video and audio play through the TV. The trouble is that if the set has no audio output jacks, there's no way to get a sound signal out. The TV accepts only inputs

When the TV is part of a home theater system, most people use it just as a video monitor. All AV sources connect to the receiver, and audio is sent from there to the speakers. A video output from the receiver goes to the TV so you can see the picture, and the TV's speakers aren't used. If you have a cable box, FiOS set-top box or satellite receiver for your TV channels, they connect to the receiver too, since they're just another external source.

This doesn't work if you rely on the TV's internal tuner for TV channels, though. This might be the case, for instance, if you have a cable system where a converter box isn't required and your cable connects right to the TV. When you're watching regular TV, then, the sound comes through the set's internal speakers. If there's no audio output available on your TV, that's your only option.

As I said earlier, many TV's have only audio inputs. But some have audio output jacks as well, so the sound has a way out. If yours does, you can connect them to one of the inputs on the home theater receiver. Then when you select that input you'll get the TV sound through the speakers connected to the receiver. Depending on the design of the TV, you may need to leave the TV volume turned up. Some sets have outputs that are follow the TV's volume setting. On others, the output is an independent fixed level. Then you can turn the TV volume down and use just the receiver's speakers if you want.

Check the connections available on your TV and look for a set of "audio out" jacks. Your TV's owner's manual should have a section explaining how to connect it in different ways. If you need a copy, most manufacturers have manuals for download on their website.

Good luck with your sound, and thanks for using Fixya!

Cannot get the cable to show on this tv

If the TV is connected to a cable box using 1 solid cable (RF ANT) your needs to be on either channel 3 or 4.
If the TV is connected to a cable box using 2 or 3 RCA cables, your TV needs to be on AV 1, 2 or 3.
If the TV is connected directly to the cable, go to MENU set the TV to cable and program channels.

Good luck

Program satelite or cable

you are not specific as to programming cable or satellite .if you have cable tv with a cable box there is no need to program tv channels.the tv should be left on channel 3.check the back of the cable box & tv it may also be connected thru rca/s-video or componant cables meaning the tv should be on a line in/source ,or video input. for a tv without a cable box
you can do the auto or manual programming. no need to be on channel 3. if you have satelllite tv you need the box to hook up to your tv.you cannot bypass this box unlike cable tv.also check the back of the box for the other possible connections
good luck

Mitsubishi tv model no. CS-2567R

I had no luck finding anything for this model number even on the Mitsubishi site. How old is this set?

I would try programming the remote to some alternate codes for Mitsubishi products. It sounds like it's not programmed correctly. If you don't have the codes I would search the web for your brand of universal remote to see if you can find it's instructions. Lastly, on the topic of the remote, most universal remotes have a method to program even when you don't know the codes. This usually involves turning on the TV then putting the remote into a specific mode and hitting the power button until the TV shuts off.

How are you connecting the dvd/vcr? Are you using a single coaxial cable (the kind with the threaded connector) or are you using composite cables (yellow, red, and white plugs) or some other type of cable? If you're using the coaxial cable then you will typically find the signal on channel 3 or 4 on the TV when the source is set to tuner. If you're using one of the other methods then you will need to find a button on the set labled something like "Video Source" or "TV/Video". If you hit that button the TV will switch through it's input sources. It's very possible that this feature will not be available on your Universal remote even if it's programmed properly. You may have to select the source on the TV itself.

Good luck and let me know if any of this helps.
