Question about Megxon Z6 Digital Camera

1 Answer

LCD Screen remains black when lenscap is open

My Megxon Z6 camera which worked perfectly throughout it's 90 day warranty period has developed a problem in which the LCD screen stays black, apart from the white writing and the icons on the screen. The battery is fine. In fact I've tried two different batteries and everything else lights up as they are supposed to (eg the LED light on top of camera and icons on screen) The lens protrudes (as it's supposed to when I slide the open bar) The Lens cap slides back and the icons light up on the black screen. But I can see nothing apart from these icons and date stamp etc on the LCD screen. If I take a picture the flash comes on (even in the brightest light) and the "picture" turns out to be a black rectangle. Help please! Where do I get this fixed?

I have a DMC-TZ2 that from today started to distort the image taken from the sensor. In mode "review" the lcd screen works perfectly so I guess is the sensor. When turning on the camara on...

You cannot fix this yourself as the sensor has failed.

If the camera is under warranty send it back for repair. If it isn't then write a firmly worded but polite demand to Panasonic anyway demanding a goodwill repair. The sensor is only about four years old and has certainly failed prematurely and there are now plenty of precedents in the digital camera industry for putting such faults right out of warranty.

Unfortunately this is and will remain a common fault with all digital cameras. Sensors can fail at any time from the day of manufacture, but on average should last an absolute minimum of five years.

Its a Panasonic DMC-TZ3. all on a sudden, LCD is not working. Monitors remains dark when I press 'On' button and the photo taken are also dark. However old photos on the SD card I can in the screen...

Hello

If you can view the pictures previously taken with the camera on the camera LCD, but the new photos just come out black, this is most probably a blown ccd.

This is a expensive component to replace, and you will also need specialized equipment to do this yourself.

I would suggest that you take your camera to your nearest repair shop and let them test the ccd.

Hope this can be of help.

Kind regards
Andrea

Black screen will not take photo

May sound silly but, make sure the lens cap is off. If so, then look to see if the automatic iris is opening when you power on the camera, you will know it is open when you can see the glass of the lens. Fresh/fully charged battery/batteries would be something else to try.

Hi,Try adjusting the LCD brightness. I guess you can do it by pressing the UP button (may be different in your camera).

Hope this works, :)
