Problems printing labels

On my HP 1395, labels won't print properly. Top margin always off. It does not matter what application I'm using - they won't fit within the label margins - top/bottom. Side spacings are ok

Printing half the vertical, no matter what size label in use.

Some drivers adjust the length of the print area, regardless of the length of the label. Do calibrate the label and also verifies that the margins are zero.

Printer not printing margins correctly

Set the margin unit of measurement to whatever you find most useful: inches, centimeters, millimeters, points, or picas.
  1. Choose File > Options > Advanced.
  2. Under Display, in the Show measurements in units of box, select the unit you want.

HP Deskjet F2180 Margins incorrect for label printing

I eventually managed to print my labels one sheet at a time by forcing the label top edge down the page. You can insert one or two lines above the label template and adjust the font size to get the right distance. It took a bit of trial & error but got there in the end. Hope it helps you

Envelope margin error

have you adjusted the page setup on your software?
I'm assuming you're using Word to print a mail merge. yes?

Check that the margins are setup properly in the "word document"
Go undetr file, page setup, and confirm the envelope size is set properly.
Check the page setup in the printing preferences.
File, Print, Printing Preferences.

The printer accepts whatever margins microsoft word tells it to use.

Best wishes

Your problem seems to be due to worn out of rollers. Try a less glossy paper and you can find the difference.

How do you print divider tabs

Depends on the size of your tabs...

In Microsoft Word:

Pull down the tools menu and select "Letters and Mailings" and then choose "Envelopes and Labels", choose the labels tab, and select "Avery 5836 - Divider -Mtg. Creator" or manually set a height of 0.5" and a width of 1.75".

In any Word Processing Application:
Make a table 10x1, set the row height to 0.5", and then set every other column width to 1.75" and 0.5" respectively with a 0.5" left and right margin, 1.0" bottom margin, and a 2.0" top margin. Add rows until you fill the page.

Hope this was helpful and remember to vote...Thanks

Paper feed

The feed rollers are slipping on the surface of the label, causing the page to load incorrectly. There is no permanent solution at this time. Try one of the following workarounds to correct this issue. Workarounds Workaround 1 Adjust the top margin using Page Setup.
  1. Click File , then Page Setup in the program being used, (accessing Page Setup may vary from program to program. Refer to the Help file for that program).
  2. Adjust the top margin until printing is correct on the label.
Workaround 2 Manually print one sheet at a time. Place one sheet of labels in the input tray at a time, printing only that page. Repeat for all pages of labels needed.

Paper margin problem in pagemaker application

Do you mean the left margin is too large so all the content is shifted to the right and off the page? If this is the case, it is probably a setting in Pagemaker. In the file menu, choose "page setup" or "print setup". Check the paper size. Check the margins.
