Try this.. open whatever document you are trying to print.. then go File > Print > By the printer name open Properties > In the Papersource options.. on the first page select auto select and try printing.. if that doesn't work do all the same steps over and select Tray 1..hope that helps

Mfc 7860dw will not print from paper tray

Check the paper level in tray 1 and keep the paper within the levels indicated by the arrows on the side. I had this same problem, and although the paper tray accommodates the extra paper, the printer obviously does not like it and defaults to the manual feed.

Why printer 4515 this error MANUALLY FEED OUTPUT STACK for duplex pritnting

HP P4515n is not a duplex printer by default. It is a network printer. ('n' suggests it is a network printer. Duplex printers have 'd' in the model number).
If you want to print both sides, manually feed sheet by sheet. Or else you can do the following:
If you are using, say MS Word, print only the odd pages (Print the normal way. No need to manually feed paper). Then arrange the printed papers in the proper order and keep the printed side as back side. Insert the set of papers in the printer and print only the even pages.
First print a document of about 6 pages to get the hang of it.

Load Legal paper in Cassette 1.
If you want to print using only one piece of paper currently loaded in the Manual Feed Slot, click [Resolve Error].
If you want to feed paper from the cassettes, remove the loaded paper from the Manual Feed Slot.

Printer is saying manual feed insert paper. Will not print

To load paper or other media in the Manual Feed Slot (directly above the Paper Tray)

You can load envelopes and special print media one at a time into this slot. Use the manual feed slot to print or copy on labels, envelopes or thicker paper.

1. Slide the paper guides to fit the paper size.
2. Using both hands put one sheet of paper in the manual feed slot until you feel the front edge of the paper touch the paper feed roller. Let go of the paper when you feel the machine feed the paper in a short distance.

Note: When you put paper in the manual feed slot, please remember the following:
■ The side to be printed on must be face up.
■ Put the leading edge (top of the paper) in first and push it gently into the slot.
■ Make sure that the paper is straight and in the proper position on the manual feed slot. If it is not, the paper may not be fed properly, resulting in a skewed printout or a paper jam.
■ Do not put more than one sheet or envelope in the manual feed slot at a time or you may cause the machine to jam.
■ You can remove smaller sizes of printed paper from the output paper tray more easily if you lift the scanner cover using both hands as shown in the illustration.

You can still use the machine when the scanner cover is raised. You can return the scanner cover to its home position by pushing it down with both hands.

If you would like to disable Manual Feed Mode, check that the manual feed mode is not selected in the printer driver.

Here is a copy of the User's Manual for the Brother MFC-7820N.

Printing 5x7 card stock in HP 1510 injet all-in-one printer

You need to set up your printer preferences to accommodate the type and size of paper you wish to use, usually listed under printer/print or page set up.

Invariably, paper is loaded, butted to either left or right of the paper feed, but on the other side of the feed there should be a sliding stop which keeps your paper in place.

If feeding from the top feed, print side towards you, if printing from a tray at the bottom of the printer, print face down.

You can download a user manual from here once you've chosen your model printer:-

It won't print - says manual feed - load paper tray. Its a brand new printer (Brother HL-4040CDN) and the paper tray is full

The printer has an "alternate" feed, i.e., for envelopes and/or for special paper.

Open the door to access that "manual" tray, take some paper from the "normal" tray, and insert the paper into the "manual" tray.

Or, on the printer's controls, set the "standard" feed, rather than the "manual" feed, and press PRINT.

I have a HP LaserJet 1320tn, after I changed the cartridge I keep getting paper jams just about where the paper meets the cartridge

Hi if you says that the paper gets jam at the fuser meeting point than i m sure that registration assembly which register the paper with toner cartridge is not working properly this is internal hardware fault.
It may caused due to faulty pickup assembly too.
There is a small **** manual feed tray try to print using manual feed and check if the problem persists then registration assembly is faulty if the it print fine from manual feed than Tray 2 pickup assembly or pickup roller is faulty.

Brother printer mfc-7420 will not print

Manual feed is a by-pass tray (not the paper tray,)
in this particular model it looks like one of hte slots in the front. put a paper in and see if it grabs it.

you should be able to cancel out the job by pushing stop/cancel?
1-check the tray to make sure the paper size is correct
2-make sure it is set for tray not bypass
