I have used this same router with this laptop in the past, but one night it just stopped working. I tested my desktop computer to see if it was the modem, and I was unable to connect to the internet. I then returned my modem to the provider and set up the new one with the router. Everything looks to be set up correctly, but the wireless light on the router is not lit up. The power, modem, and port lights are all lit up. I've done a power cycle a few times, and still nothing.
Unhook all wires except for the power cable. Press and hold the little reset button on the back of the router for 30 seconds ( I know, most sites say 5 seconds is enough...)
After releasing the button the router should reboot itself. Sometimes after the reboot you have to press the reset button again for just a second and release it. The wireless should reset itself at this point, but this will also reset all of the router settings. You will have to log into the interface and reset your security and other settings. The user id & password should reset to admin & motorola, unless you have loaded aftermarket firmware.

And also ask your internet provider if theres a problem also with their internet connection. Good luck!
I ran into the same problem when i was living in Reno. I fixed my problem by First, Access Command Prompt, by way of Run Program: CMD then i inputed the command ipconfig /all Find the wireless portion in the information that it gives you, what you are looking for is the Mac Address. it should be 12 total Alpha Numeric string, which is seperated every 2 by a dash marker.
Next, access the router through the normal way of browser, In the Wireless section, there is a tab that you select to input the Mac Address into the router, to basically give the router a permission to always give that computer access to the internet. This worked for me. I do hope it works for you. Its what i have always done in the past when i set up wireless Offices
It comes down to a few things with routers and wireless connections: 1. If you have been dropping the signal over the past few weeks try doing a test on the wireless network connection via the diagnostic tool within the specific wireless connection. 2. You may have gotten a bad update to the wireless card. Try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. 3. Try deleting the wireless connection for your router and then make 'a new' wireless connection.
You don't use a modem to connect with a wireless router. Connect an ethernet cable between the laptop and the router to ensure that both are working. If this gives you an internet connection then the commonest problem is an incorrect wireless key. Reset the key on the router then cut and paste it into the wireless network setup in the Control Panel. Wireless drivers are frequently updated and you should check for a newer driver.
Make sure you have the wireless icon on the taskbar lower right side. If it does not show connected, click the icon and search for wireless devices, you should see the router. connect to the router. Also make sure you have a solid DSL/CABLE status light on the service modem. BPCS
