Use a foaming glass cleaner on the screen such as plast-n- glass you can get it at www.mcminone.com . make sure the set is off, use a lint free absorbant cloth to wipe it dry. don't use paper towels they will scratch the screen. do not use on the inside screen, smoke tends to go to exposed surfaces. you can also clean the mirror but leave no streaks or they will show up in the picture.

Had tv fot about 7 years, at top center of screen an area has appeared that is yellow in color. How can I fix problem?

If it's a 3 tube projector, the front of some of the tubes are cooled by an oily substance. this oil is replaceable. If it uses a light bulb, the bulb can be dimming, the color wheel may need to be cleaned as well as the lenses in front of the light. The DLP chip can also be going bad.

Never spray directly on a screen. If the solution seeps into the underside (back etched side of the glass) it could damage the surface. You may have to get to the inside from the rear projection area or lift of the front glass screen and remove it completely. Usually the Rear surface of the screen is etched and can be wiped clean. Go to Bed Bath and get a good streak less windows cleaner. Spray it on a soft cloth and wipe the front and/or back glass. Wipe dry with a CLOTH, not a paper towel, and when dry use a flash light to see any streaks or blemishes left behind. Clean again is necessary. Do not apply pressure, gently clean and try not to cause scratches as they show up when the projection device flashes the image on the glass portion. Put it all back they way it was and enjoy.

The colour has orange and yellow tones I cant remove

Have you tried cleaning the screen? I smoke cigars, so I have to go around compressed-airing and wiping stuff down constantly. Screens look yellow/orange if I let it go too long.

Mitsubishi wd 62527 has very dark picture changed

Clean the small front projection mirror. That mirror can get dust on it and will cause the projected image to appear dull and dim and cleaning that mirror will usually restore the brightness and crisp details in the image.

How & what do I use to clean the mirror

You can use glass cleaner to clean the mirror once a year (more for heavy smokers). Some models use the glass mirror, some use the Tin Foil like stuff on wood that scratches really easy, on those use a softer paper or cloth and spray it and wipe the spray off in one direction gently so you don't damage the fake mirror.
also do not clean the front screens (lentic and fresnel lens) you will create white/clear spots on them , damp a soft paper or cloth withwater
if you need to wipe the outside screen protector.
hope this helps

Mitsubishi WD-62527 replacement lamp install and brightness low

as i previously posted, my picture was dim, muddy looking after replacing lamp with osram lamp. i fixed mine by taking the screen off and cleaning the small mirror. it had a thick layer of dust on it, cleaned with a microfiber cloth. no water, no glass cleaners. i also used a very fine new small paint brush and dusted the projector lens which also had a dust film. brightness, contrast and clarity returned!

Can I clean projection tubes myself?

First unplug set and remove back cover then you should see the three picture tubes . Using a soft cloth spray windex on the cloth then clean your lens and use the dry side to wipe away . Do not press hard as the lens are plastic . If you cannot see the tubes thru the back side you must enter thru the front . Would need to know make and model # of your set located on the if you need more assistance . If you are a smoker this could very well improve your picture . Good luck

Spanking comes to mind... :) Just kidding..
You can access the inside area od the screen and with some windex and paper towel clean the reverse. There are actually two screens there sandwiched together, a lenticular and frensel screen. If you remove the front panel you should be able to remove the screens from the frame and clean between them also... If any of this makes you nervous calla qualified shop and they can do this in minutes on a house-call..
Have a great day!
