Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Yes the TV can be repaired if you get the parts easily. From what you have described it seems to be the issue with Y-main however, Y-buffer and the logic board should also be checked. These boards are located on the right side of the unit and as I said the parts are not easily available however, you can check this link for parts. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Mines a LG RZ42PX11 it intermittently gets a black vertical line down the middle of the screen.

Hi I have a LG RZ42px11 there are 6 vertical thick black lines running down the middle off the screen, when cold the TV seems OK but if it has been on for around 10mins or on standby the lines stay on screen.

Thanks.

Douglas.

The left side of my LG plasma has vertical lines. right side has clear picture.

It sounds to me like one or more of your buffer boards has gone bad. You will probably have to have it looked at.

Issue with LG Plasma tv model # DU-42PX12X

Another "same probelm"

My set has encountered this magical 50/50 split screen and it seems to be quite a problem since I am not the only one researching this issue. LG was of no use because of course it is just out of warranty. Any solutions on fixing this or am I out of money in buying a new plasma?

Lines in screen

6781QCH038C is the correct replacement.

There is another replacement part for LG's ending with 060Q. Electronia-USA.com stated it may not work with LG's but does work for Vizio's

Yes, a non pro can do this repair.
