If you need to ask "how", you should NOT try -- take the computer to a qualified and certified technician who _knows_ how to do it.

Left shift &caps&tab not workingon delle 1505

Please go to start menu> then programs> accessories> accessibility> onscreen keyboard. Open a notepad and try to type using the onscreen keyboard. If the keys are working using the onscreen keyboard, then you need to get the keyboard replaced. You can contact Dell if your system is under warranty.

My dell inspiron E1505's screen only half showing

Generally an indication of an LCD failure. You can try reseating the LCD cable under the keyboard, see if it makes any difference. If no change, then replace the LCD

My home row keys (and only those 8) do not work.

Unfortunately, this is most likely a bad keyboard and the keyboard will need to be replaced. In the meantime, you can use a USB keyboard in its place.

How do i get a key back on a dell inspiron e1505 laptop.? I tried putting it in place and snapping it in and i am only able to get half of it on.

Please get your keyboard replaced, That is the best option, if you have a warrenty with dell you can call them at 18003723355 and they will replace it for free, if not then u need to purchase another keyboard which will cost you not more then $20.

Hope this Help.
Cheers!!!

LOOSE LEFT CTRL AND SHIFT KEYS

Generally, the keys on a portable keyboard are non-repairable. The keyboard is a Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) and if under warranty, Dell should send a replacement, If out of warranty, Ebay is a good source for a keyboard and they generally run about $20

Keyboard

hi there,

try to reseat to take the keyboard out and blow it dry or clean it or something. click here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins6400/en/om/parts.htm#wp1076839

then reseat the cable as well. check if it is still doing the same thing, then the keyboard needs to be replaced.

revert back to me if you have any questions ok?

Thanks,
Karlox :)
