You can put a patch on the outside while there's water in it. What you do, is put a piece of plastic (bag, saran wrap, anything similar) on the inside to stop the leak while patching the outside. Place your patch with glue, then if you can, put a flat magnet on each side to hold it together and keep the plastic in place. Remove when it's cured, and it should hold you at least the season, when you can patch the inside.

How to find a hole in intex vinyl pool

look for wet spots..if its full of water and you fear its in the floor..take a small bottle with red food coloring in it and work your way along the seals in the floor..squeeze out a bit of coloring and see if it flows to the leak suspected area..we do this on in-ground pools around the plastic fixtures and along cracks in the walls to determine water loss rates..and to check for flow in the system..

How do i hook a vaccum up to my model 604 filter pump?

You should take your vacuum hose and plug it into the hole in the bottom of one of the skimmers. Fill the hose with water first or your pump will loose suction. I fill my hose by putting the head of the vacuum in the pool. Take the other end and hold it over a pool's discharge port (where the water comes back to the pool from the pump. When the air bubbles stop, put your hand over the end of the hose and move it to the skimmer and connect it.

That work for you?

Is there any chemicals I need to add to my pool when I leave it up and full of water for the winter. I am worried about the alge growth. when I stop treating the water . on my salt water system.

If you have the intex soft side pool do not leave it up.
Once the water freezes and thaws you take a big risk of gouging the pool and thus tearing it.
These pools are meant to be taken down every year if you live in a freeze area

I LOST MY OWNER MANUAL FOR MY 18X48 EASY SET INTEX POOL AND I DON'T REMEMBER HOW TO SET UP THE PUMP AND FILTER

Attach the hose from the lower part (the pump) to the lower hole (intake) on your pool. The attach the hose from the taller part (the filter part) to the taller hole on your pool.

Open the spigot on both parts of the pool (turn, lift and lock into open position) openings. You'll hear water fill up the filter section. Make sure the knob on top of the filter section is a little open and let the air bleed out. You'll know when it is full of water when it starts spitting water out. Close the top then.

Plug in your pump and turn it on. If it doesn't take much water in at first, reopen up the knob on top of the filter to let more air out. Once it spits water, close that up.

Hope this helps!

I have two holes in the bottom of my pool how do I fix them

The easiest way to patch a hole in a vinyl pool liner is with the water still in the pool. With an inexpensive underwater repair kit, some swimming goggles and a few hours to allow the patch to cure, you will be back to enjoying your aquatic playground. jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Easy Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Pool repair kit (underwater) Rag Scissors Swimsuit Swimming goggles
  1. Step 1 Locate the tear in the liner. You may need to get into the pool and examine the surface wearing swimming goggles.
  2. Step 2 Read the patching kit instructions thoroughly before starting the job.
  3. Step 3 Clean debris from the area around the tear using a rag.
  4. Step 4 Use scissors to cut a patch for the hole. Use the vinyl from the repair kit to for the patch. Be sure it is at least 2 inches in diameter and will cover the entire hole.
  5. Step 5 Use applicator brush that comes with kit to apply adhesive to the back of the vinyl patch. Do not apply too much adhesive or the patch will not cure properly.
  6. Step 6 Fold the patch in half. The adhesive should be on the inside of the fold.
  7. Step 7 Enter the pool2_bing.gif water and relocate the area in need of patching. If hole is accessible from the outside of the pool, there is no need to get into water.
  8. Step 8 Hold patch underwater as close to the hole as possible. Unfold patch while underwater and apply to the hole.
  9. Step 9 Press the patch firmly while smoothing it from the center to the outside edges. This will help remove any excess air bubbles or water from under the patch surface.
  10. Step 10 Let patch cure as indicated on repair kit instructions.

Water loss in pool, but no hole in liner

The only problem is that ther is a leak in the liner. Generally at the bottom where a rock or debris has made a small hole. They can be patched but the pool will need to be drained. Call your local pool service company.
