Xl15 sparking
when i turn on my alpine xl15 it will spark at the plates,at the top.
i have cleaned and changed plates.

- I have the same problem I cracked the glass plate and it started sparking. so I bought the new ceramic plates and it sparks from the metal on the plate to the top of the bracket, it only does it when it is turned on above 2/3 power. - kah92340Solution #1

Clean the contacts that touch the plates with Qtips and 70% or higher isopropyl alcohol and replace the plates. Sparking on the plates usually is a sign of a crack in the plate. The electricity is passing through the plate, creating an arc. The crack may be invisible to the naked eye.
