When you remove the radio do not cut the wires. They sell a after market piece that plugs into the factory wiring harness and it in return has the wires cut at the end to splice into the radio. They also have a after market bracket that the after market radio fits into and slides back into the same place as the old one does with the same clip style. Your auto parts store should carry everything you need.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Chevrolet Silverado instrument cluster no working

Hey, Buddy.. I just had the same thing happen to me. If you look under the hood over the left front tire you will have a black box with Electrical Center written on the top of it. Just look in there you will have a fuse marked Radio that will be blown. It should be a 15 amp fuse.

I am surprised that GM has all that stuff on one fuse and of all things on the Radio fuse...

Anyway,,, good luck take care.. God Bless..

Michael..

I am working on this same problem right now. The bulbs are soldered into a circuit board and are not easy to replace, but it can be done. Replacement bulbs should be available at radio shack. I am going there now to check it out. Will post more as I find it out.
