Question about Sony Handycam DCR-SR82 Camcorder

1 Answer

Using a Sony Handycam DCR-SR65 camcorder. Trying to view video clips on my camera and, ultimately, transfer them to my computer. I keep getting this message for a couple of the clips, along w/a strange icon "No applicable files available". Is there any way to restore them back to their original state? At one time, they were normal.

Yes. I'll give it a try. However, WalMart does not carry it.

Hello. Yes, you can most likely restore these files but you will need software called digital media recovery software. Here is a link to one source but you should also check locally at walmart and staples. http://www.digitalmedia-recovery.com/recover-video-from-handycam.html

How do you transfer entire video from Sony Handycam DCR TRV10 E via USB to windows 7 Dell Inspiron 1440 Laptop

I'm sorry you're experiencing difficulty with transferring videos from the Camcorder to the Windows 7 Computer. Unfortunately, the USB streaming feature of the Camcorder is not compatible with Windows 7 Operating System.

However, you can use either i.LINK or A/V interface to transfer videos from the Camcorder to the Windwos 7 Computer.

I have provided a link where you can view the steps to transfer videos using i.LINK interface:

Hello! I'm using a softwer : movie shaker 3.1. for Sony Handycam DCR-IP5E Micro MV Digital Camcorder and it is unable to scan longer clips then 2-3minutes,that is the maximum... Has anyboy idea for this...

Hi,
You need to use DV Port in camcorder to transfer movie files into computer that must has same DV Port.
USB port can not be used to transfer movie files as its just to provide still picture data.
DV Port is maybe labeled as iLink in your camcorder so hook camcorder with computer with DV cable.
Hope this info will help you.
Thanks.
