Question about Virgin Pulse VP14 (14 Channels) 2-Way Radio

1 Answer

This unit says it is voice activated. When it is not in use, is it actually off, or is it still using battery power? I am hoping to be able to use this to monitor an invalid in another part of the house. Thank you.

The units are still drawing power for their receiver sections and voice-activated relay. They will work as a monitor, but your battery life will be considerably less that it would be with a baby monitor or an intercom that's designed for the monitoring function.

When I hit feature and 983 on my T7316E Notel it says feature not active. It was active. How do I get it back

If your voice mail feature codes arent working(F983, F981 etc,)then the voice mail is not being recognized by the telephone system. You could try resetting the power to the voicemail unit and see if it comes back online. When you reset the voice mail it could take up to 10 minutes for it to fullly come back online.

How do i turn off my icd-p620?

Hello.

Unfortunately, that unit does not have a power On/Off switch. The display is shown at all times. Note that when the Hold switch is activated, the display will turn off after a few seconds and all keys will be locked, but the unit will still stay turned on.

Hope this helps.

VOICE COIL CAME APART

Hi There Frosted. Most common reasons for Voice Coil Fracturing is due to amplifier signal being square wave or heavely over driven. Voice coil heats up and thus comes apart from the former. Another reason that I have found to cause this problem is if the box that you are using is not correct for your woofer. Hence you have to jack up the gain on your amplifier to get the sound you want instead of letting the box do the work with its effeciancy. Check battery power also. When you are playing your system, put a multi meter on your battery erminals and make sure that your voltage does not drop below 10.5 Volts. Preferably 11 Volts. Hope this helps.

If you were refering to your actual voice coil breaking away from the woofers spider assembly, then you need to check the rated power on your amplifier vs the required power on your sub. Box also plays a great factor for this problem for the same reasons as mentioned above.

Cannot operate svr-925 digital recorder, need manual

How to Record:
1. Make sure HOLD switch (on side of unit with pocket clip) is set to off position (slide to right is off - to left would be hold)
2. For best results set unit with mic(rophone) which is on top of unit toward sound source and press REC/STOP button (Top button on front of unit just below LCD display). Recording will begin and will be indicated on LCD display.
> Red Record LED will be on and the message number, recording time will be displayed on the LCD.
3. To stop recording, press REC/STOP button one time.
* If no other buttons are pressed within 1 minute at stop position, it will power off automatically.
4. Pause during recording by simply pressing MODE/PAUSE button- press button again to resume.

There is a Voice Operated System (VOS) Recording button on left side also. You can record with voice activation to conserve recording space but I have found that you lose a portion of the recorded sound as it activates and if there is no sound for a very few minutes the unit powers off and you will get nothing further recorded. I recomend just keeping VOS in off position.

5. To erase a recording: Select the message number you want to erase and while it is stopped (the message number will appear in LCD with the length of recording showing also)
Press and hold the ERASE button until the LCD begins blinking "ERASE" then, while it's blinking simply press the erase button again and the recording will be erased.

6. To play back a recorded message find your message by "toggling" the switch on the right side of the unit that says INDEX. That switch is the fast forward/reverse play etc. To Play simply push the switch in. This button/switch takes a little practice to use but the Play portion is straight forward. Use the front buttons to pause and stop during playback.

Hope this helps.

I'm having an issue with the same unit. But the blinking light is NOT on my phone it's the power light to the actual unit in my server room. It will flash 4 times and then stop. Flash 4 times again... I have looked through the manual to see what 4x power light means and I have found nothing!

Bell South 2250 one seems to be voice activated and other not voice activated.

To turn off sound activation press the menu button 3 times to enter VOX mode. The VOX icon should be flashing, then press the down button till the number of bars dissappear. Press the menu button to confirm the VOX off mode. You also can adjust the sensitivity of the VOX mode by how many bars are displayed, less bars equal less sensitivity. No bars and voice command is deactivated. Hope this helps.

If you are getting a low battery light (that may be the cause of you problem), you should check that the AC outlet settings are right. If the settings are correct, you should take out the AC adapter and try it with batteries (do not forget to disconect the AC from the power and from the recorder!!!). hope this will help. Daniel
