The door closing problem is usually caused by the condenser fan which is underneath around back. If it's not running when the compressor runs it will cause the problem you describe. You will need to remove the cardboard backing on the back of the fridge to access the fan.

Door not shutting.
The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

Leave the door shut and let the magnetic gasket hold the door in place. Put something between the bottom of the door and the floor to hold it in case it slips.
Remove the bracket holding the pin and hinge assembly taking note of order of removal of parts. Slide new cams on. You probably need two.

Hi, We emptied our ice bin yesterday to fill an ice chest and the ice maker hasn't worked since. The automatic shut off arm is stuck in the down position and the entire ice maker compartment is...

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

We have a ge pds20mcr bottom freezer ref and have a foul odor coming from the bottom of ref.

If the odor is only present from the bottom of the fridge, and not inside the freezer or when it is shut, it is most likely spoiled something. Put everything in a few coolers, cover with ice and close up, spray out the fridge with some cleaner and let the freezer defrost if there is ice buildup on racks or surfaces. After the fridge is clean, I suggest using a box of baking soda to keep odors out of your fridge. Arm & Hammer recommends replacing these boxes every 30 days, but I've had mine in there for 6 months or so and it helps.

Warm to Hot molding that seals the doors

The heat in door frame is normal but undetectable when ref at normal temp. Definitely cooling problem. Google ref not cold enough to get help to solve problem. Never use any oil for it will not help also health problem if not approved to be used around food. Fan motor must be replaced for it will just keep stopping.

well for mold problems i recommend cleaning out all compartments with water/bleach solution also a little bathroom cleaner will kill the mildew. i don't think it seeped to the insulation because the plastic liner in fridges are quite little thick. turn it on for some days and put one of those arm and hammer baking soda for fridges that will kill any residual odor. i consider it safe but its your call if you feel comfortable using it.
