Unfortunately,no. the dvd camcorder was designed for easy dvd disc recording w/o usb or computer connectivity (it doesn't have usb port for connection). comparable models that has the usb jack are dcrdvd305 aqnd dcrdvd755 (which cost more). but don't loose hope.other options to transfer videos from cam to pc is by using the dvd disc (make sure you finalize it) and your computer's dvd drive (make sure it has supports 8cm disc and the disc tray in the right orientation to take the disc so it won't fall out). once inside the drive.open or explore the disc and copy and paste video files saved on the usual video_ts folder or the .vob files. if you need to playback the copied files you can simply change the file name to .mpg or use a file conversion software (which you can easily download for free online, use free file conversion as your search phrase) to convert files to a file format you need for editing purposes. another way to go is to use the supplied a/v cable. this type of connection would need a supporting software and hardware installed in your computer. an a/v capture card should be installed and a compatible video capturing application would be needed. hope this helps.thanks:)
