You can get a line tap valve that clamps around the refrigerant line and pierces it allowing you to connect a guage and read the pressure. This is supposed to be a temporary set up. You should have it replaced with a permanent service port. New filter/dryers come with a service port.

I have a sunsip slush machine and is not freezing, and machne is running for nearly 6 hrs

if the mix is cold but not freezing, you may be low on refrigerant or the timer is in defrost (if it has that feature). if it's warm, either the solenoids are not opening or there is no refrigerant. check the exhaust. if there is little air flow, clean the condenser coils (air intake). if it's cold, the compressor is not functioning or no refrigerant. for low or no refrigerant, you have a leak. take it in for repair

I have a Duo-Therm 600 Series Penguin Roof Top Air Conditioner on my Bigfoot Camper. It was put on in 2005. I turn it on, sounds like the pump is working than shuts off after a minute and nothing more...

It sounds like it is the start cap on the compressor and no you can't add refrigerant to it the can you have is 134a and the fittings are not the same

A/c is freezing up and not blowing very hard

If it blows OK after you defrost the coils it is low on refrigerant due to a leak in the system.
If it blows slow when defrosted it is a bad fan capacitor or a bad fan motor.

Roof top a/c is freezing up what can be done?

Check the refrigerant charge. A low charge will cause it to freeze up. May need to have some added. Also check for dirty air filters and make sure the evaporator coil is clean. A restricted airflow will cause it to freeze up also because the air isn't transferring heat in the evaporator. Let me know if this helps.

Keeps freezing up

Low on refrigerant. Check the high and low side for the correct pressures. If you find the pressure is low which is what I would suspect, then add some refrigerant. The cooling temperature of the refrigerant is proportional to the pressure. The lower the pressure the lower the temperature. The problem is that if the pressure gets too low then the unit gets too cold and ices up.

Dometic Quick Cool compressor freezing and evaporator coil

Could be low. First check air filter, air flow, and evap coil to see if it has restricted airflow. If all seems well, its probably low. The specs will tell you what type and how much refigerant. To access system, you will need a gauge/manifold set, refrigerant, and a piercing or line tap valve for the low pressure side of the system. Of course, first, you need to locate and repair the refrigerant leak.

How to put refrigerant in Demotic RV Rooftop Air Conditioner

You will need to add a self tapping port to the suction side of the unit. You will have to determine what the size of the pipe is and then go to a local a/c supply company and buy one. It's kind of like a self tapping supply for water but for high pressure. Hope this helps. I would also put one in on the high side as well so you don't blow the valve in the compressor if you over charge it or the system is dirty.

My rooftop RV Air Contitioner keeps freezing up.

The evaporator coil is dirty or the unit is low on refrigerant. Try cleaning the coil first. If it is low on refringerant, it can be expensive to have them serviced. Some of these units do not have service ports so you have to add them. This racks up the costs. Good luck!
